Suarez bid 'insulting' and the club activity 'embarrassing' is ridiculous. You thought Suarez had a clause in his contract that let him leave when a bid of £40m was made, why should you pay a penny more than that if that had been the case? I mean, I guess it's a bit embarrassing that you went after as despicable a cunt as Suarez, but that's not what you meant so I assume you don't really care about that.

It's disappointing, from your point of view, to so obviously need players and not get them but people have been spouting that embarrassing line about United all summer no matter what we do and it's ridiculous in both scenarios. Sometimes you just have to trust that things will turn out alright in the end and support your club, there's no point twisting the knife in when everyone else is waiting to do that for you anyway.

I blame Twitter, it's constant deluge of shite makes people think that things are happening when they aren't.

They're paying several pennies more than necessary.

Suarez bid was not 'insulting', it was smart. And the Cabaye bid was made on Sunday, Pardew just mentioned it on Monday to deflect from the fact that he was gonna get hammered by City anyway

That sounds like bullshit.

Aye considering we got beat 4-0 by City in March with Cabaye in the side, its not exactly justified using it as an excuse this time round.

By that logic Newcastle have improved by the same magnitude as Man City. We've improved by £70m from last season.

Or that he wouldn't really improve Arsenal.

Weren't Spurs ahead in the queue anyway?

We're gonna improve by £20M anyway given this new TV deal - apparently 20th earns more than the Champions League winners.

Balague writes how Arsenal missed out on David Villa

No mention of Villa's £10M per year wages. Another shit story from Balague.

There's not a chance in hell David Villa's getting paid €225k p/w.

I read that the bid was submitted on Friday and Pardew was informed on Sunday. Either way, fuck Pardew.

Now we're in the CL (as good as) i'm hoping that'll open the door to the signings Wenger actually want's, rather than the usual left overs we pick up.

Flamini's been training with you lot hasn't he? I wouldn't be surprised if Wenger sees him as a backup should he fail to land anyone decent.

Been a lot of rumors today that we may sign him, not a fan of re-signing old players though.

I'm actually quite pleased with that. As far as I see it, Flamini is better than nobody.

He was good.

He was, but he was never the out-and-out defensive midfielder that we've missed since Flamini and Gilberto left.

The gallery of hate down the side is quite something.

He hasn't exactly endeared himself to the fans.

It's like we're cursed.

Wenger will push Cazorla out onto the left and Rosicky will come in to play centrally.

So, 5 days left? Hopefully we can move it up a gear regarding transfers.
