@PikaPika Gamer, a couple of points:

a) If a source is being worked on by somebody else, it is considered bad manners to do it without at least checking if they're still working on it. The button was added to avoid duplication of work, so do keep that in mind.

b) Also, the cut is quite good but there is something which will make it even better. The cut-out canvas of 250x250 isn't enormous and we aim to take up as much of it as possible with the face (and hair). Anything else is considered a waste of screen real estate.

With this in mind, we aim to have only 2-3 pixels above the head and 2-3 pixels beneath the chin (or facial hair). I'm not going to get the inch tape out to measure them, but the aim is to leave only a very small space for the cut to ‘breathe’. As you have also evidently learnt, all cuts should include a little bit of collar. Since in some sources like this one, the person in the image may have a longer neck or a lower collar than usual, both these aims would be impossible to achieve naturally.

In cases like this, we use the technique demonstrated in the below video to achieve both aims in a quick and simple manner:

@mons Thanks for the info 👍

Welcome 👍

Always nice to see a new enthusiastic cutter, and we try to give you feedback to make your life easier and your work even better 😉 Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or doubts, better to do so and be sure you're doing something properly 🙂

Since krissmed has now removed his WIP on the image, perhaps you'd like to re-cut it with my initial feedback in mind?
