The pre-cut source means it's impossible to get the level of hair detail visible in the present megapack cut, so it probably won't be an improvement.
When we have a source with longer hair like this one, we make an exception to our usual methods and cut the whole length of the hair even if it goes beneath the chin. Can you upload the original source and I'll have a good at it to explain what I mean?
