I think the superior hair details of the previous cut make it slightly better, but there isn't much wrong with the new cut, apart from a little bit of snow around the hair.
Again not a bad cut @bp89 but be sure to crop much closer to the top of the head. Any more than 2-3 pixels is just a waste of screen real estate.
