@acapsule, I appreciate you taking the time to cut these images but you should really start off with easier sources until you get the hang of it. A difficult hair style, a low-quality source and a terribly difficult background all make for a very hard source to cut, and I'm afraid the end result is not the best. Sources like this or this or this would be much easier to cut, although I appreciate you may not be interested. Eventually, you would move on to slightly trickier sources such as this or this due to the difficulty caused by the tricky hairstyle and tricky background respectively.

As an aside, can you please upload your second cut to an image-hosting site as I cannot seem to save it? I'll use it as a placeholder for now until a better cut comes along.

P.S. I don't know why you didn't choose either of these sources tbh, both of which are recent and much easier to cut

@mons , I appreciate the feedback. I'd come to a bit of an impasse as I'd grown bored of waiting for other people to do image cutouts from my requests and decided to try my hand at them myself. Some of them I'm proud of; although I realised about halfway through this one I'd overstepped my nascent abilities. To be honest, I am not at all familiar with image editing software and although I have read/watched the tutorials, I hadn't used a high-level image editing program before attempting to do cutouts on Sortitoutsi. So it's all really just a bit of experimentation for me. I wish to continue working on cutouts here and seek to improve their quality. I would greatly appreciate any further feedback on this or any other images if you want to send me a PM. The second cut is located here..

I apologise for not doing my due diligence in finding a better cut for this player, I was actually attempting to find a cut for an entirely different Latvian player. I found a (ultimately unsuitable) image from this source, gave up on that, and felt like I might as well make a cutout of Ikaunieks since his image was available on my source and missing here. In retrospect, I would have been much happier working with either of those images, for obvious reasons.

No worries, mate, it's always encouraging to see a budding cutter and I like to offer some constructive suggestions on how their work can be improved. First of all, I recommend having a look at this thread for some useful hints and tips. What software are you using to cut, and which technique? I recommend Photoshop and using the Vertus or Refine Edge techniques, both of which have tutorials in that thread. As stated above, I would certainly recommend starting on easier cuts while you get the hang of things, and eventually working your way up to harder cuts - and feel free to ask for assistance in the above thread if you have queries or difficulties

Oh, and it's always worth spending a handful of minutes to source the best images possible, be it through Google Images or the person's respective social media accounts, before starting to cut. The time spent locating the best image could well be time saved from cutting a poorer, and harder, image.

P.S. Feel free to cut either of the above sources and re-upload the cut
