I'm affraid that this is not an improvement,especially because all hair details are cut off,and light on left side of the face is really bad.This one seems as a lot better source,with light background and new hairstyle.

To make it clear, @Belajariman did great work as a cuter,but original source was awfull since background on it was completaly black.

TBH, your source isn't great either because of the poor camera quality. I tried brightening the shadows in OP's source, and sharpened the edges/brushed in some more hair details so hopefully this is a little bit better.
