Perhaps you haven't understood me. The folder structure in the latest screenshot is indeed correct, but not its contents, which is what matters.

What Qvordrup said could work for you, or you could open the faces folder from the update pack, copy its contents and paste them into the graphics > sortitoutsi-1 > faces folder, replacing files when prompted. Same for the iconfaces folder.

I would recommend you to delete what you have and download the full pack again.

Then you need to figure out what you have done when applying the update.

When unpacking and applying a update just unpack the faces and iconfaces folder to your sortitoutsi-1 folder and say yes to all overwrites. That means that your computer replaces the old pictures with the new ones and more importantly updates your configs. This process should not remove any files from your folders.

I don't know what to tell you but it seems clear that you misapplied the steps we outlined somehow 😕 If you've removed the main megapack, you should be able to get it back from the Recycle Bin, I would think.

The update packs have been released for over 10 years with the exact same installation method, and have been applied successfully by thousands of people through all these years. I find it unlikely to believe that the whole process isn't working correctly only now, so it'll be something you haven't applied properly, unfortunately 😢

Do you have any folders inside your faces and iconfaces folders?

Then, bluntly speaking, you haven't done exactly what I told you to do 😕

Let's have another screenshot of your graphics > sortitoutsi-1 folder, then, so perhaps we can see what needs to be fixed.

Then it's even more clearly established that you haven't installed the update pack properly 😉

Have you download the full pack at some point or only the update?

Yes, that's exactly what I've been trying to tell you. Some of the update pack will add new images and another part of the update pack will replace old faces. That's exactly why I've tried to explain, more than once, that you should accept overwrite prompts because that's a good sign you're installing it in the right place.

And remember to remove the graphics > faces folder as indicated in my above post. Leaving it there will mean it supersedes the graphics > sortitoutsi-1 folder and anything in the latter folder will be ignored by FM, which defeats the whole purpose of what we've talked about.

To clarify, you should only have ONE faces folder. In your folder structure, it should be in graphics > sortitoutsi-1.

In the second screenshot, why do you have a faces folder within the graphics folder? Like I've said, you should have one faces folder and one faces folder only, so remove that and leave only the faces folder within the graphics > sortitoutsi-1. Why have you renamed that one? It's a really, really simple process, I have no idea why you are choosing to complicate it so much 😕

Extract the update pack folder to somewhere else on your PC which isn't your graphics folder. A temporary file on your desktop, for instance. Once it's all extracted, copy/paste the ensuing faces and iconfaces folders into the existing graphics > sortitoutsi-1. If done right, you should get an overwrite prompt, which you should accept.

a) Remember to delete the update pack sub-folder you installed previously which caused the issue
b) With Windows, if you copy the faces and iconfaces folders from the download into the folder containing the megapack faces and iconfaces sub-folders, the contents transfer automatically. Not sure if that's the case for Mac

If you're still not clear, screenshots of your megapack folder and of the contents of the file you've downloaded would help.

b) With Windows, if you copy the faces and iconfaces folders from the download into the folder containing the megapack faces and iconfaces sub-folders, the contents transfer automatically. Not sure if that's the case for Mac

Sorry, couldn't resist. Joking apart, when installing an update pack, it should not be placed in a separate sub-folder. All faces should go into the faces folder and all iconfaces should go into the iconfaces folder, accepting the overwrite prompt when it comes up. At the end of the process, you should have 279k+ images and a file titled config.xml in one faces folder and one faces folder only, and same for the iconfaces.
