I've been so swamped that I haven't had a time to look into this. I'm wary of adding an extra layer of complexity to downloading the files. Plenty of people already seem flummoxed enough when installing the files in the current method, I dread to think how they'd react to something like this.

I can create a github repository and transfer the ownership to you if you want to. Also I'm planning to create a script to take a backup and copy the files.
