This is mildly annoying. It USED to be (up to FM23) that there was an option to display the player or staff member's unique ID at the top of their information page. That seems to be gone in FM24. I usually add in a couple of custom staff members and add their photos but in lieu of the UID being displayable I just looked up their UID from the pre-game editor. But, of course… the IDs change when you start a save because, of course they do. 

 

I got around it by going to the staff information view and creating a custom view which included the unique ID field. Et voila, I have the right ID codes again. Just in case anyone else comes across this one… don't trust the IDs in the pre-game editor.

 

Why on earth SI pulled the option of displaying the ID, I have no idea. Maybe they thought it wasn't needed since you can still see it through a custom view.

The game assigns graphics to a team's Unique ID, which remains constant irrespective of licensing issues. Naturally, it will depend on what logopack you use and whether they include the logo you're lookin for, but there shouldn't be any issue at all with logos displaying merely because you downloaded the official patch.

 

Good point. Before this evening I have never used a logopack, and just used the “vanilla” ones. Facepack? Yes. Real names patch? Yes. But a logopack… no. I've just started to download one which I'm hoping will resolve the problem. (I had planned to start a new save tonight anyway, so that's not an issue.)

This has been the case since day one, which is why this file exists. If you apply this fix before starting a new game, all is solved. If you apply this fix after a save game is started, all you need to do is follow the workaround in the first post, which shouldn't take you more than a few seconds, and all would be solved.

 

Except for the logos, which are not so easily dealt with.

why hasnt roma been changed

It's not just Roma. I don't know WHAT happened with licencing and serie A in the last few weeks, but the game is a complete mess as a result of it. 

  • Roma's name and logo have gone, with the name being changed to “Capitoline” and the logo to… something which really does not generate the same sentiment as the real one;
  • Napoli has changed to Parthenope;
  • Monza seems to have been changed to Brianza (hey, they could have at least called it “Ferrari” and really hacked the lawyers off);
  • Lecce (Lecce. of all teams!) also seems to have had an IP conniption and is now called Salento.

 

I've had a pretty rubbish weekend and wanted to spend the last couple of hours unwinding on the virtual pitch and find… this. Next time SI says “We have an update for you”, I think I might just change the locks.
