it's always interesting to read instructions written by people who don't know what they're doing)) you just had to replace the word background with the word stadium in the existing file

You're wrong, that wouldnt accomplish anything and wouldnt fix the issue. read it again. 🙂

can you share your file ? 🙂

Sharing the actual config file wouldnt help that much since it would entail massive work for you to do manually so here is a guide instead:

Firstly, you need FMXML, its available online if you google but also here: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/847/fmxml-for-pc
Launch it, then you simply select the actual folder where the stadium pictures are in, Object: faces (for now.. we will change that later).
FMXML will now create a config based off of the content within the folder.

Now get Notepad++ (google it) and open the config file with Notepad++.
As you can see in the config file the string looks like this:

<record from="XXXXXX" to="graphics/pictures/person/XXXXXX/portrait"/>

We want it to look like this:

<record from="XXXXXX" to="graphics/pictures/stadium/XXXXXX/stadium"/>

So by using ctrl+f when you have the config opened in Notepad++ , he Find tool will open, then simply choose the “replace”-tab and then write the word “person” to be replace by “stadium” and the same with the word “portrait”.

When its done you can save the config file and VOILA! working stadium-packs in SAS skin 🙂

if you want to use the pictures from the background pack you have, then yes

But i'm not sure where you would want those pictures to show ?
it might have been the part we have spoken past eachother

My skin is not “made” for a backgrund picture, thats why i added the custom background selector (the monitor under the continue button)
to use that you would have to setup it up “see - how to setup custom background selector” file in the download folder (see link in a previous comment)

the other place pictures is used is in the club info page and for that you'll have to use the line i pasted for the ppictures from your pack to show,
proper stadium packs already have the correct config file. where stadium background packs have the string that fits for a background

I see, thats the thing, I have a stadium pack, which screw up the skin.

I have no idea how to make them both work together, its NOT a background folder, its a STADIUM folder. I use this arena/stadium pack: https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/backgrounds but it breaks your skin.

I have solved it!
I created a new config-file with FMXML, used Notepad++ to change the words person and portrait to stadium and stadium, now the stadium pictures work together with your skin 🙂

A string for pictures in the club info is like this
<record from="1000" to="graphics/pictures/stadium/1000/stadium"/>

then you can compare the one you have for the other stuff and see where it's different
the number 1000 is the ID ingame for the club picture

Sorry, I dont understand, do you mean I should create a new Config-file with the stadium strings?

If the pack is supposed to be background, then you will have to setup the custom background selector and use a few of the pictures

as a pack it's not possible as you've seen.
it's the config file that isnt working with my skin, it will probably work fine for a skin that has background pictures active and has been build for it.

ah I see, thats a shame, since the “default”-image for an arena is emerging-breakingly ugly, the arenas give an added realistic feel. Is there a way to modify so that this config file doesnt override your skin?
feels good figuring out whats the issue, config-iles being stupid.

The skin works fine. else i would have alot of ppl on my dm's etc.

Do you have a stadium background folder in your graphics ?
like the mega pack from here or similar as they contain background pictures and the config file in those packs is messing things up.

My skin picks up those as i have the background selector for ppl to customize the backgrounds if they desire

i'm sorry you are having issues, but the skin works fine.
If i were you, i would probably “move” stadium pictures etc (not faces, badges, logo's, kits) out from the graphics folder

then i would do the steps as untick, clear cache and reload skin

Yes, it was the sortitoutsi arena background megapack which messed it all up, when I removed the background arena pack it works.
So how to I make the arena megapack work with the SAS skin?

Sounds odd.
But i would untick the “use caching for faster loading” in the preferences
clear the cache (lower left reset dropdown)
reload skin and maybe restart FM.

Also if you have a stadium background folder in the graphics folder, move it outside the graphics folder
and in case you want a stadium picture as background, read the “how to setup the custom background selector” in the download folder

To have stadiums in the club info page, make sure you use a proper stadium pack and not a stadium background pack

yeah, okey.. I thought it was fixed.. but after restarting the game the transparent background was back.
Something is f-ed with the .fmf i think, must be something in there cause I re-installed the game and still when I picked SAS 24 it broke.

I am currently using another skin which is working absolutely fine without broken background.

I see myself (my manager) as the background ? whats going on? I cant pick another background either on the background tab beneath the continue button..

after spamming around suddenly the background became black.. I have no idea whats going on haha, this skin is awesome, but the only thing totally broken is the background-feature.

I've now followed the FAQ, added and followed the instruction with backgrounds but yet, everytime I load the game with SAS skin active I see the “change-room view with my manager standing” as the background when the Save is loaded.

I really wish the default background was active constantly and if anyone want to f-around with the background opacity and stuff then go ahead but this breaks the skin for me if I have to change background every time I load the game.

My request never get answered. I had one made like, for 2 months ago and that you accidently made me a jersey with the wrong numbers on the back...so I told you, but nothing happend. So I figure I just need to make a new request and yeah.
