Presumably this cannot to be done, but is there a way to force an outline around the player name text? Certain players with long names combined with certain kits result in this.

I've attached the original image and then the cropped version that I'm currently using. It's specific to my windowed resolution though so it'll look stretched on your end. All I've done is use Paint.NET, resized and saved the image as a DirectDraw Surface (.dds). For me I have to use B5G6B5 Linear or it wouldn't work in-game.

Hardest part is finding a good image to use. Something with fans looks better to me. This is my current choice as a generic background, it's far from perfect.

Anyway, thanks for showing this was possible.

aar0n: thanks! Regarding your question, I didn’t change that. Everything is there. If is not displayed in your game, please clear the cache, keep only this skin (and this skin version) in the skins folder of the game, exit the game and reload it.

For whatever reason having OPZ skin in the folder was causing this. Weird one. All is good now.

Regarding your changes which seems great, I would like to look at the whole player overview panel….could you place a screenshot with all the panel?

Here you go. I play in a 4k windowed resolution so I can multitask beside it. Some parts of the panel are a little squashed/not aligned, but it works for me nicely.
