I really need the image in question and the config file as we're not really getting anywhere. Please compress them and upload them somewhere so I can have a look... Ideally, I would also have a screenshot of the person in-game, with his ID showing.

I'll see what I can do. However, I've now lost all of the images in-game from the megapack - everything has went back to the default SI images. I may have clicked 'clear cache', is there any way to bring these back up easily enough?

Also, I've just noticed that a lot of cut outs have went to the grey silhouette since I unticked the clear cache, etc.

Open your save game and check the ID in there. It might not be the same as the one in the editor, as I've already indicated earlier.

Sorry, I forgot to add, the ID is correct in-game.

Are you sure that the file name and the entry in the config are the same? Is the image in .png format?

Perhaps you can upload the individual image which you've added and the new config as well, so I can check it myself.

I've used the same formula as the other lines, just changing the IDs and have put the image (.png - right size etc.) into the same folder as the rest.

I'm not sure how I'd go about uploading the config, the only change is the addition of the new ID:

<record from="1394631337" to=”graphics/pictures/person/1394631337/portrait”/>

On the editor, there were two IDs. The other one was 'random ID' I think but I didn't use that.

Cheers for the screenshot, I've already done that and I got the same result!

Does the config need to be changed with that FMxml file in your OP? I just added the text and save it as the same format.

1) Save your chosen picture as the correct ID into the following folder:
My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 201x/graphics/anywhere apart from your MP folder
(You may need to create the last 3 folders)

2) Next you need to create a config file, (the file that links the game to the image) and put it in the folder "Individual" with your picture.
You can download fmXML (Instruction Video) which will do it automatically for you or create one yourself using this template I've created for you HERE (simply change the bits that says "change me" to the ID number you got earlier) Save it.

3) Go back to your game prefs and untick "Show unique IDs" click confirm and hey presto your picture should be there.

Any questions, please feel free to ask.

I can't see this option in the preferences

What tab is it under?

I added a non-playing person via the editor and then added the ID to the config.

This, obviously, didn't work.

Can anyone advise how you get a custom cut out to appear for a custom person?

5.04 is now out, as some of you may have already noticed. It's somewhat smaller than usual, and contains 3013 new and improved images.

Hi mate, any chance you have the original SI cut-outs for Hibernian (1575)? I asked for several players to be changed back as I thought they were replaced with older/poorer images. Any chance you could PM me a few?

Those were the ones I wanted to change.

I presumed that you would be the best person to ask, I tried deleting the image/config info like a different poster said, but it just made the images blank.

Did you save the config after deleting the whole line ?
Blank space means the config is trying to find an image but the image has been deleted and thats why it isn't picking up si's image instead

Aye, I saved the config after deleting the line but was unsure whether this was correct?

Do I need to keep that line or what? I have no idea!

So if you have an up to date megapack you should have them
The few I didnt do you can just delete their image and their line in the config and then SI's image will show for them
Or extract the images from the game using the resource archiver and add them to the megapack

I tested one of them to begin with but after deleting their line in the config and the image, nothing has replaced it. It's just a blank space now.

I'm a Mac user, any idea why I dont have a 'Steam' folder in my library? I downloaded it through steam as well?

If you are using a Mac operating system compatible with FM2013, you'll no doubt have the spotlight function which you can just type in the keywords 'Steam' and your troubles would be gone (top-right corner of your screen for Snow Leopard and in the top-right of your 'Finder' panel.

There isn't a 'Steam' in your 'Library' because it is: Library>Application Support>Steam

I've had some issues with my Hibs team's cut-outs. Without thinking twice I saved the megapack over the SI images and didn't back-up the originals. I couldn't find large enough images of the squad profiles and have given up trying.

My question is, would it be possible for someone to post or link to me images to the SI cut outs of the Hibernian squad?

I'd be very grateful for any form of help with this!

As i said in the last thread 2 of these are in the si clean up pack i did and will be in 5.01 or 5.02, the others have better images in the megapack
Extract the si images yourself and use them in the megapack if you prefer (google how to do this before you ask)
And delete this request as this thread is for images of yourself to be cut

Thanks for the info, if you're suggesting the ones in the megapack are better than the ones in my post then I don't know why you would say this considering the images are the most recent, professionally-taken and clearer. They are far better than the ones in the megapack (if cut that is) I also did try to find how I could regain the originals but maybe I'm using the wrong keywords as I can't find anything relevant which is why I posted on the forum.

You never have and never will get a game of FIFA/ProEvo-style visuals.

They're slowly adding different features and dynamics to the match engine, it's a 3D visual representation that was added for people that didn't want to just see dots flying around. The only issue I had was that it was running insanely slow and was jumpy, but I just turned my graphics settings down and it's fine.

I don't mind it, I would like to see more accurate stadium builds though such as Easter Road not being a single-tier stadium with all the corners filled.

Right you two, i'm gonna do your requests right now and I never want to see your names in this thread again or i'll just ban you until the end of time.

For some reason you seem to think that your requests are more important than anyone else's. I bet when you go to the shop you moan at all the other customes who wait patiently in line until they are served, but not you guys no your far too important to wait, so yeah I'll grant you this special favour and then thats your lot forever and so I'll apologise in advance to all the other people waiting for the 1400 logos I'm still cutting out, but these guys are just so much more special than regular people that they deserve special treatment.

Now thats sorted then maybe I can get some work done now.

Sorry mate, genuine mistake, an older post said it should be fixed for the next update so I just assumed it had been forgotten. I didn't mean to cause any problems or have any idea it was on such a large backlog. If I knew otherwise I wouldn't have posted asking where it was. Thanks anyways, really appreciate it.

Can anyone tell me how I can get the original images for the Hibs team? I saved the megapack over them without backing up the originals which were complete and done properly. If anyone can post the originals that would be great!

The request pacls are for non db logos and have no configs - sold as seen if you will.

If it's a real one it comes in the official update packs.

The other thing you have to take into consideration is that I do everything in order of date, so everything gets done in order and thats without exception as it's the only fair way tbh.

No sign of the logo in the update

I don't know what the process is for requests exactly, maybe I was supposed to post up the image of the crest I would like corrected?

The ID is 1575 for Hibernian FC. Below is a large Hibs club crest with a transparent background. Hopefully someone can fix the current images.

Regarding the title… Atlantic Archipelago Steel Challenge is probably the correct term to avoid any issues!

Although it doesn't quite have the same ring to it as the British Steel Challenge!

When I first seen the thread title, I thought it was going to be some sort of scenario involving Motherwell, the Sheffield teams & Scunthorpe or any other British team with a link to steel… I am disappointed and equally distanced from attempting difficult scenarios! Looks impressive though.
