Apologies. His defensive ability is no where near good enough for centre back.

You don't even know what position he plays, so how do you know how good he is?

Unless you're basing your opinion on him after one game.

Ah, thought you meant what we'd spent this summer.

£140m then.

I'm pleased that Man Utd's £150m midfield is good.

Warms the heart.

£105m*

I'm fucking distraught that we panic bought Di Maria when we could have had Cleverley playing in central midfield still.

Aren't you bothered about how we've sold our soul too?

Yeah, that's complete bullshit though. He's played centrally for Madrid, Argentina and Benfica. He's probably played there for Rosario Central too.

This. Although I didn't know until recently he was a CM before moving to Madrid.

To me, this hasn't been a smart transfer window at all for Man Utd and I sense some panic with how they have operated in the window. If anything, LVG has now complicated things further by bringing in Di Maria and Falcao, when there was clear need for better defensive reinforcement. They've also now committed themselves to signing what will be a 29 year old Falcao for £51m (if reports are true), not to mention wages on top of that, for next season.

I love how you exaggerate everything to make it seem worse. I know you're talking about how old he'll be next year, but its such a pointless comment to make. He's 28. Also, everywhere is reporting its closer to £40 million. Also, I don't see how his wages are any more relevant than the wages of any other player. Torres was always branded as a £50 million signing, not a £75 million signing including wages.

And Di Maria has been a target for months. Not sure how that's panic buying.

I wonder if the Moyes haters will give as much grief to LVG as they did to Moyes.

Moyes was backed by the majority of fans up until February/March.

Why are Sky showing this?

Surely Spurs-QPR made more sense for premise, and for potential to laugh at Harry Redknapp getting mullered.

Spurs QPR would likely have been a 3PM Satuday kick-off and only got pushed back 'cos of the EL game.

Hull must feel robbed after that.

Mata has proved to be a needless acquisition though. He wasn't what you needed and seems to be a massive waste of money.

Well I disagree, but regardless, he was who Moyes wanted and Woodward went out and got him.

You really denying the fact you need defenders?

Also doesn't Woodward sign your players? or is it just his fault when you don't sign people then when you do its the genius of van Gaal

When did I say that?

You've just said that we were never going to sign top defenders because United are only interested in big names and not actually improving the team. Which is clearly bullshit.

Woodward signs van Gaal's targets, and yes it is his fault when he fails. He also gets credit when he does actually do something, like when we signed Mata.
