Seamen, just to confirm for mons, when the original Ireland.dbc is replaced by the one on here you get errors. When the original Ireland.dbc gets put back everything is fine, including the the portugal leagues?

There seem to be couple problems after the latest FM update 13.1.3. Irish league is greyed out, as point out above, and Portugal seems to be missing teams:

Edit: The issue seems to be caused by deleting the dbc, edt and Inc folders now.


That is the issue and I don't think my installation, I've installed this thing about dozen times already so I hope I know how to do it by now . Besides I did twice this time just to make sure. Also deleting your dbc, edt and Inc folders and having Steam do file integrity check fixes the problem.

Edit: also the Ireland.dbc someone said missing is in mons' package too.

PS. For claritys sake I should say that as that post above shows I got this thing after the last update too and it went away after you updated your files.

Edit2: Ok, I did a test. Pure Steam install everything is fine, but the moment I replace the original Ireland.dbc with the one from here those errors show up, and I mean both Ireland going grey and Portugal missing teams.

Tested it the other way around too, ie. deleted the dbc, edt and inc folders, installed the files from here = ireland grey and too few portuguese teams. Then c/p the original ireland.dbc to the dbc folder, overwriting the ireland.dbc from here, and suddenly everything works again. So I'd say that there is definitely something not right with ireland.dbc available here.

I've seen this issue mentioned on the official forums (which I can read at work, unlike this site :fume I'll have a look to see what's wrong and what if there's anything I can do to fix this. I don't know how this file's changes can affect it, but I'll have to check. I'll get back to you all on this. If it's anything to do with these files, I'll do my utmost to get to the bottom of it and release a new version of the file.

Edit: Erm, I started a new game just now and:

I'm using the files contained in the base download and all seems fine. In my admittedly not so vast experience, issues such as those mentioned above generally tend to be related to editor data files, so you might want to check if you've got any rogue files in there. Alternately, wait until I release a new version of this file later this evening.


Don't get this wrong because I'm just trying to help solve this mystery, but did you do a completely clean install yourself? Ie. deleted the edt, inc and dbc folders and copied your files there. Because I did twice and got the same result both times and I've installed this thing plenty of times with no problems. Also I tried starting a new career disabling all the extra editor files and still got the same result.

What worked was deleting the modified db folders and letting Steam reinstall the original files and that Ireland/Portugal issue went away. Also doing that I could enable all your db files just fine with no problems. So I'd say there is pretty high chance those folders got changed somehow with the new patch and thats whats causing problems.

Could you confirm something for me please:

"This file is intended for FM13.1, and will need to be re-applied if when patches/updates are released."

Does that mean that whenever new patch hits it's going to cause for the real names, media, etc. to stop working and the only way to fix that is to start a completely new game? Just wondering because I always start one save that will last till the next FM game, or even longer.
