Let me give you a brief explanation of how the system works, it's really quite straight-forward.

Every year, just before the game is released, the base cut-out megapack for that version is released. For example, the 13.0 base pack for FM22 was released on 3 November and it included 279,278 cut-outs.

Update packs are released every 2-4 weeks to add images to people who don't have one yet and to add better images for people in the megapack. 12 update packs for 13.0 have been released to date and as a result, the most recent update pack takes the total of images in the megapack to 323,666. Dortmund's Bynoe-Gittens was added to the megapack in the 13.02 update pack, for example, and so will naturally not be included in the base megapack, as it was released prior to his cut being produced.

So, in simple terms, for somebody to be fully up-to-date, they first need to download the 13.0 base pack, then the 13.01 update pack, then the 13.02 update pack etc. etc. until the 13.12 update pack.

First of all, thanks mons for being quite responsive and helpful here in the forum.

I have the base pack running perfectly fine in my Mac FM21 install, but now I decided to download the updates. From what I understood here, I MUST download all the updates since the base install I have.

But I have a 2nd question regarding installing the update is how to install it in my base. Do I copy the folders inside the Base folders? Or do I copy the contents of these updates to the respective base folders, replacing when necessary? If so, what happens to the config.xml ? Does the updated file include the contents of everything before? Do I need to rename that config.xml file?

How the base cut out install is
