I am in the year 2041 with AFC Telford. In the last few years we've become dominant domestically but not in Europe. It has been a great save. However, I'm genuinely getting wound up with penalty shoot outs and penalties in general. I can't seem to crack Europe without entering into at least one penalty shootout. As soon as I have a penalty shootout, despite how good my players stats are (specifically for pens), I know I am going to lose. Angers me so much!!!!

The problem isn't just in Europe up against big sides. Even if I get penalties against minnows in the FA cup, my players seem to miss 7 or 8 pens out of 10. I had one game against a League 2 club whilst I was in the Prem with the Prem's top goalscorer and in lethal form, where he missed 3 penalties in that game alone. 3 efffin penalties against a nobody team. Ludicrous!

I'm now at a stage in the game where my players are amongst the best in the world in almost every position. And yet, despite that, I rarely ever score a penalty. I've tried changing takers and it doesn't really improve things. In all the game years I've been playing I don't remember winning a single penalty shoot out. It's utterly infuriating. I have played every single version of Championship Manager and Football Manager since 98/99 and have never found penalties to be so ludicrously difficult to score. On the other hand, the opposition seems to net them all the time.
