Crikey, and the edt/permanent and lnc folders are as shown in the screenshots in the main post then, right? Must be something different that SI have made for this FM version then 😕

Just an update. After the first call-ups the 23 greyed players didn't remove. But after this recent call-up, they have been removed. I'm guessing I could have applied the fix during a call-up period or day and that confused it a bit.

It it working as intended and seemed to be a one-off incident.

They are exactly like the screenshots shown, yes. I will check again after France have finished spanking my National team.

When did you apply this fix, and did you wait for the national teams to call up players?

Last week and reapplied this week to see if any files were missing. Japan is fine but Germany is not.

They have since had the Nations League call ups and competition.

I added a manager to see what's going on but couldn't remove them.

It's 2030 so the current team has predominantly retired.

They basically have a 46 man squad lol

I just downloaded and changed the files again (although I downloaded the same 2.0 version when it came out), but the German national team is still fake. Any ideas?

EDIT: Just read some previous comments and I'll check and see if the national team is populated with real players next time they're called up. Weird that I've played for 3 in-game years and it's still just fake players.

I have a similar issue. Germany is half real and half fake.

Hi there, I have  a lot kits and they are all working except Spanish Div 1 and Div 2.

Not sure what's going on. I've checked multiple times and retried.

Brazilian clubs names have not changed. I followed the removal of Hashtags etc using replace as my save was beta.

If you have already started a save-game and wish to change German, Spanish, Italian and French club names to the correct ones, there is a workaround. However, you will lose the club nicknames.

Open the City, Club and Stadium Names.lnc file with Notepad (on Windows) and TextEdit (on Mac). All the changes I've made in the editor data file are included in this file, however they are preceded by a hashtag (#) which makes the lnc file ignore any text following it.

You can remove the hashtags from in front of any of the "CLUB_LONG_NAME_CHANGE" and "CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" codes which you wish to change, and this will ensure these changes are displayed in your save game.

For Notepad, all you need to do is: Select the edit menu, click the replace option, type #"CLUB in the first field and "CLUB in the second and click replace all. Then save and close. Shouldn't take more than 3 seconds if you do it right 🙂

Instead of

#"CLUB_LONG_NAME_CHANGE" 915 "FC Bayern München" ""
#"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 915 "FC Bayern" ""

you should have

"CLUB_LONG_NAME_CHANGE" 915 "FC Bayern München" ""
"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 915 "FC Bayern" ""

Basically:
Using an lnc
Pro: Can be used (and disabled) after a save game has been started
Con: Removes club nicknames for those teams whose name has been edited

Using the editor data file
Pro: Retains club nicknames
Con: Needs to be applied before starting a new game

Hi there, managed to use this to get it all working except the Brazilian team names. Any suggestions. thank you

tried this and changed all 3 lnc files as instructed and it didn't work for Zebre. Interestingly the kit also defaulted too after the update but the badge didn't
