You seem to be trying to get 'redemption' and 'dignity restored!' themes out of a political satire show, which seems a little misplaced. It's not a drama as such, more of a parody with a slight commentary on politics today. A reason why I think British TV shows get panned is because critics look at the wrong parts of the show, expect The Thick of It to resemble something like Lost or another US series, which is just missing the point.

Not a dig, by the way, just an observation.

Especially is you look at Glen's character throughout the entire show. He's incompetent, just like the rest of them. Aside from Stuart (Stewart?)'s speech at the end I've not seen anything that resembles such a scathing attack on current politics. It just takes the piss because it can, because there is comedy to be had. The same way Brass Eye didn't have much of a message, except here are idiots, lets take the piss.

Yes! Fantastic knows it. People who watch US dramas expect all shows to have some deep meaning for them to discover, dunno why.

Misfits tonight, don't really know what to expect from it. Went downhill last season, and even more of the original lot have left.

Didn't even know they were doing another series.

Only 1 original left? Meh.

Okay, well maybe I worded it wrongly. The entire season he had been abused and treated like, as Olly said, a bear at a circus who was wheeled out from time to time to be poked at. I just thought it was nice that at the end he seemed to redeem some vigour and refused to allow himself to be treated like shit anymore. That's just how I saw it. I love Glen and really felt bad for him after what had happened, so I took great pleasure in him ripping the shit out of all the wankers in the office and appearing as if he had had some life breathed back into him.

SOA is fucking addictive.

Definitely one of my favourite shows. Not started newest season yet because I can't just watch a couple and be satisfied!

Beckett's arse in that mini-dress <3

Castle's great just for the Firefly references. It's fantastic anyway though.

Watching Game of Thrones, and since I haven't read anything ever about it, and the book neither, I'm kind of lost.
Can you somebody explain me who's who in short or send me a link where it's explained?
Danke schon

EDIT: Got it.

Can you elaborate please?

Anyone watching Arrow? I really like it but I think it's going to really suffer from too many episodes in a season. I think it's my favourite new show this season. Watched a couple episodes of Last Resort, the pilot was excellent, but I thought the follow up episode was average.

I watched the first two episodes of Last Resort, first one was ok but the second was really cringeworthy-bad. I've heard it gets worse too.

Need to start Arrow.

The number of Arrested Development episodes has been increased to "12 to 15" \o/

Can't fucking wait. They're all being released at once as well which means that a massive A.D. drinking marathon will occur

Just started watching White Collar, quite impressed so far.

Just reviewing my active series, trying to see where I can squeeze some more in.

Dexter
Sons of Anarchy
Supernatural
The Mentalist
The Office (US)
Arrested Development
Suits
White Collar

Quite a lot going on at the moment with a few on a break and some just coming back from a break.

I keep getting recommended Parks and Recreation, but I watched the first episode and the woman just seems like she is a carbon copy of Michael Scott.

The series evolves a lot, and from season 2 onwards its a better show than The Office US ever was.

He really is.

Re-watched Rome over my winter break, it really is absolutely fantastic. Shame they only made two seasons.
