This file is intended for FM13.3, and will need to be re-applied if/when patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are re-installed when patches come out.

Magrippinho very helpfully created a YouTube video on how this file should be installed. Some of the contents are different - but the procedure is identical.

Or, you can follow the below instructions to install this file:

Step 1: Go to

PC
 Program Files \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ football manager 2013 \ data \ db \ 1300
AND
 Program Files \ Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ football manager 2013 \ data \ db \ 1330
MAC
USERNAME \ Library \ Application Support \ Steam \ SteamApps \ Common \ Football Manager 2013 \ Data \ db \ 1300
AND
USERNAME \ Library \ Application Support \ Steam \ SteamApps \ Common \ Football Manager 2013 \ Data \ db \ 1330
For Mac Lion users, the Library folder will be hidden. Use this link to find out how to show it.

Step 2: Delete the dbc, edt and lnc folders from the folder above

Step 3: Copy the dbc, edt and lnc folder from this download into the folder mentioned in step 1.

Step 4: Go to:

Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 2013
Step 5: Open the folder named "editor data" contained therein. If it does not exist, then create it.

Step 6: Keeping the folder in step 5 open, go back to the file you downloaded and open the folder named "editor data files".

Step 7: Copy the 30 files in the folder from step 6 into the folder mentioned in step 5.

To check if the file is working, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, German national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not instantly.

Not sure the media files will, but for that you can use the old FM12 files.

Let me know what they are, and I'll see if I can fix them.

sorry because i wont know how to work with editor. I play the game in Dutch (Belgium).
Some errors:

1. price names Belgium:

Supercoupe de Belgique has to become "Supercup van België"
Coupe de la ligue Pro has to become "Ligabeker"

2. Derby's

Clasico Belge derby ( anderlecht vs standard) has to become "Belgische Klassieker" (not derby at the end)
anderlecht vs club brugge has to become "Belgische klassieker" (only change: no derby at end)
standard de liege vs Charleroi is in game Walloon derby: has to become "Waalse Derby"

3. Countrys: (team name above in page view (selection) and on profile of fe country global page, but in humans profiles its correct)
The democratic republic of the congo : Volksrepubliek Congo
The republic of the congo: Congo-Brazzaville
The central African republic : De Centraal-Afrikaanse Republiek
The Ivory Coast : Ivoorkust
The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea ; Noord-Korea
The people’s republic of China : China
The republic of china : Chinees Taipei
The republic of Korea : Zuid-Korea
The united Arab emirates : De Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (abbreviation is UAE, which has to become VAE)

The Czech Republic : Tsjechië
The Faroe Islands : Faeroër Eilanden
The Republic Of Ireland : Ierland

The Bahamas: Bahamas
The Cayman islands: Caymaneilanden
The Dominican republic: Dominicaanse Republiek

i say many thanks in advance! (sorry for my english)
btw, the netherlands (nationality on player profile) is with new update translated in to dutch. thx for that!

When I am about to choose which editor files I want to use in the game, the only files that shows are from the "dbc" and "editor data files" folders. Is that because the files in the "Inc" and "edt" folders are LNC- and EDT-files? Or have I just done something wrong?

Thnx

Thanks, b13v3r, I've added those suggestions into the file and they will be there in the next update whenever that might be The only things I couldn't add were the derbies as I don't believe the lnc files are able to change those. If anybody has any proposed additions, please, don't hesitate to post them

Please watch Magrippinho's video from the OP and confirm that you have installed the folders in the correct directories, as it seems to me like you haven't done so.

Sorry if this is a stupid suggestion but is there anything within the real names fix to make Steam think the game install files are invalid?

On 3 occasions since Friday, I've received the "updating the game " popup when I try to start FM13. The progress bar is already at 100% but "Ready to play" always stays greyed out.

When I verify local content, there are between 5 and 8 files that fail verification. After the update I have re-applied the real names fix and everything is OK until the next time I re-start the game.

Could anyone please offer any pointers?

Many thanks

I play the game using Steam and have had no problems whatsoever, which leads me to think that you're doing something wrong somewhere.

Could you please view Magrippinho's video and check that you are following the steps correctly?

Have you downloaded any other FM13 files perchance?

Thanks for your quick reply.

Before posting, I triple checked that I was following your instructions and the video.

The only other customised files I use are the facepack, logos and kits available from this site.

Since my original post, I've started a new game, re-applied the real names fix and immediately put Steam into Offline mode.

I've closed the game, re-started the game - all OK, I've re-booted, started, exited and re-started the game - also OK.

I'm quite happy keeping Steam Offline, but can you suggest why I need to?

Thanks agin for your help and for the files themselves.

No, just for the media files.

I have already started a new game with your previous version fix, i would like to confirm if i have to start a new game again for those editors' data files in your latest fix (i.e. 34 media files) to be effective.

Have to say it's wonderful fix again, cheers.

I'm afraid I've no idea at all why this is the case; it's all working fine for me

When Steam re-installs some files, do you have any idea which files they are?

A good amount of the data in the media files of the previous version was not working due to issues in converting FM12 dbc files to their FM13 equivalents. The latest version solves this issue.

It's really up to you whether you want to start a new game, but the media files you have now are only really doing 5-10% of what they're supposed to, rendering them useless, frankly.

Found a mistake after starting a game with 1.0 version:

Fc Thun (Swiss Team). There's something wrong with the colors and the home kit. Team name is not visible.

I don't know which .dbc files afect this but please fix it in the next version

Gotta say I'm amazed how many kits not showing before were fixed after the latest version.(Spain national team away kit comes to mind).

It's a database issue from SI's end and nothing to do with any edits I did, unfortunately. I'll keep it in mind and fix it for the next release of the kits colour changes file.

I do believe there might be a fix which can be added and which is save game compatible, but I'd have to test it when I'm at my PC....

You were right about the colors. I checked the SI database and it's their mistake. The Foreground and Background on the home kit are both red. But what about the display of thehome kit in the game? Why it looks like that?

Dude, i can't thank you enough.... you're amazing.
i found one error, you should change this in next updated:
Supercoupe de Belgique has to become "Supercup van België"
you translated supercoupe correct into supercup (dutch), but "de belgique" is also in french. It should become "van België"
my gratitude for your efforts and work

You are distributing old EDT files, not 2013 ones.
f.ex. the 2013 version of alliteration_adjectives.edt is a lot bigger.
add_my_chairmen.edt also is different.

Hi mons, i've downloaded your latest version fix and started a new game. then, i found i've run 2 kits changer files in editor data folder in my new game. I think one of them is downloaded before, and another is included in your latest fix (but with different file name, seems 1 has "s" and another not). please advise if it's ok to continue the game and won't crash it in any future point. Or, i shall delete the old kit changer file without affect the my existing save game. thanks!

You were right about the colors. I checked the SI database and it's their mistake. The Foreground and Background on the home kit are both red. But what about the display of thehome kit in the game? Why it looks like that?

As you correctly noted, the foreground and background colours of the kit in editor are both red. The FM editor also contains an option for the text colour to be defined. If this option is not noted, as per the below screenshot, then the game will automatically choose the foreground and background colours of the kit as the text, hence your issue.

http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u344/maltamons/Screenshot.png

That's one of the reasons why the kits colour changes file was started. As you can see in the spoilered image below, once the text is defined, then it should be fixed. However, this will only work when starting a new game.

http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u344/maltamons/Screenshot-2.png

I also believe that adding the below lines to one of the lnc files will solve the issue in a save game, but would appreciate somebody confirming this.

# Thun kit colour change - first kit

"COLOUR_CHANGE" 514173 0 255 208 0 200 0 0

The files included in this download were the ones which came with the beta. The two files in question will be fixed in the next version of this file

No, it won't make the game slower. I'd have mentioned it if it did.
