Well first off Mila Kunis gets locked in that well thing and then magically escaped. There is over 6 billion bibles in circulation the world, the whole perception that they have all been destroyed is stupid not to mention the Braille version of a bible is gigantic in comparison to the normal one. And then his 30 year trip should have only taken 38 days to walk. Then what about the Qur'an that never seems to be mentioned but that has 'taken control' of a lot of people. Also his iPod for some reason doesn't need to be charged.
I guess the point that irked me the most though was that because ' he was on a mission from god' he is able to survive everything. It is just lazy and annoying.
mr.SPANKY
His 30 year trip well he is blind.
The Qur'an if has never been mentioned how has it taken control of a lot of people? I have to rewatch it but I don't recall anything like that in the movie.
Fantastic
What follows is an hour of exposition and the only surprise is that the "well dressed man" is Hopper wearing a fake mustache. It is important to note this supposedly massive reveal is that of a character who you see, from a distance, once before it is revealed to be Hopper. Yeah, he's seen coming out of a building after Hopper enters. OMG!
So if you're supposed to enjoy Lynch's style, which is jazz music, the colour red, small town values hiding deeper secrets; then knock yourself out. As far as I'm concerned it's trash. I hate David Lynch and after making the mistake of watching Mulholland Drive a few years ago I doubt I will ever watch anything he's made ever again.
Fantastic
Few better ways to waste four hours.

As good as it gets - classic.

YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
Abbott
The cinematography throughout the entire film is outstanding too. Such a nice film to look at.
Franck
Finished the first film this morning, it was excellent. I could also see why that film significantly increased the demand for Carhartt jackets in Scandinavia after it's release.

Javier Bardem was superb. One of the best, if not the best bond villain.
Franck
Man are some of the scenes in that film brutal.
I suppose the story might have been alright if it wasn't for the dreary acting throughout.

Crane
Looper. Really enjoyed it. Not as much of a mind fuck as I expected it to be.
The Platypus
Very much so. Tonny's such a pathetic character, can't help but feel sorry for him.
Watched The Master. Fuckin brilliant. Masterpiece.
Boone
I enjoyed it immensely.
Franck
Aye, an unsuccessful criminal with some sense of human decency to him stuck in a world of horrible cunts.
Abbott
Any people would recommend?

I watched "The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town". I think it would be a good watch even if you aren't a Springsteen fan.
-----------------------------------
I watched Any Given Sunday the other day. I thought it was a reasonable decent watch and tackled quite a few of the issues with American Football (despite being 13 years old). I think they probably tried to fit too many different things in at the same time, it felt like it lacked in focus a little bit.
The Platypus
Hoop Dreams is probably my favourite ever documentary. So depressing though.
There's also The Thin Blue Line, and if you want a good laugh, go for American Movie: The Making of Northwestern.
Fantastic
In fact any documentary I recommend is usually fabulous:
Smartest Guys In The Room
Grizzly Man
Hands On A Hard Body
Catfish
Winnebago Man
Jiro: Dreams Of Sushi
Tabloid
Spellbound
Restrepo
Capturing the Friedmans
Deliver Us From Evil (must watch, it's incredible)
But seriously, watch Touching The Void. It's just perfect in every way.
I didn't list Man On Wire because while it's a good film I find that the French guy is inherently a liar and not in a good way that makes compelling viewing. Some people enjoy it, I didn't.
Franck
Watched that a while ago, pretty damned funny.
Vercoe
Was exactly what I expected, shit being blown up. Plenty of Terminator references with Arnie
Abbott
Both Hoffman and Phoenix were magnificent, two if the best performances I've seen for a while.
The Platypus
Watch it again. I loved it even more the second time.
"You know how to get rid of crabs?"
"No.."
"You gotta shave one testicle.. and all the crabs go over to the other testicle.. you gotta light the hair on fire on that one, and when they all go scurrying out you take an icepick AND YOU FUCKING STAB EVERY SINGLE LAST ONE OF THEM"
Abbott
Yeah I want to see it again if I can. Lots to delve into.
I fucking loved Freddie's first processing session, that scene was incredible.
Vercoe
Was AWESOME.
