No.

No point, Tories win with such a large majority here that even if everyone one that didn't vote last time round all voted Lib Dem (2nd party) they'd still win in the area.

I voted in the AV referendum, I'll vote in the EU ones and basically anything where its not a waste of time to vote but there's no point voting in the general.

FPTP is wonderful, innit?

Just go and spoil your ballot paper, not voting is utterly pointless in the purest sense

I was initially tempted to do that, but I think the problem is a spoilt ballot would be classified as 'look at this idiot who doesn't know how to vote' rather than 'look at this person who is completely disenfranchised'.

I'd probably go and vote for the Greens if they fielded a candidate here, but they didn't last time and I doubt see why they'd bother this time.

Without wishing to go all Russell Brand I think the only way to get any sort of change in our system that is clearly broken is to not vote and cause a crisis of legitimacy.

Just put a line through all the boxes and write NONE, fairly clear that way and your non vote is still counted

Do the LibDems still support proportional representation?

Voting for a party that actually wants to reform the system strikes me as more meaningful than not voting at all, even if they won't win and are too spineless to make any change if they actually did.

You seem to be assuming people in Britain want to change FPTP.

I genuinely have no clue of LibDem policies - they get less coverage than UKIP and the SNP right now.

Farage doing some real heel work right now - insulting the audience.

Thank God I took our damage cover!

So it took longer to bend than the iPhone 6 plus then. Less damage also which is a good sign

Well not really, because at the end of the day it still goes in to the category of spoilt ballets. There's nothing to say why a particular ballet was spoilt and therefore its not a very useful way to show your dissatisfaction.

Ninja obviously isn't a fan of FPTP and the situations it creates. And to be frank, anyone who actually likes FPTP is either an idiot or an arsehole.

Even if the party you vote for has no chance of winning, your vote is still a validation of their policies.

But its still counted, it shows your dissatisfaction, not voting at all doesn't show that in anyway and makes people appear like they just couldn't be bothered to vote

67% of people rejected AV. It got crushed.

A voting system isn't something that should be decided through referendum.

How many of the people who voted against AV do you think actually understood how it works?

2 weeks into a Silent Precision Drill course, fucking hate the physical training to the core, but at least I've learnt all 21 drills.

That said, there's an assessment next Thursday, if I fail that I'm probably going to kill myself.

It was crushed by what was exposed as a Tory funded smear campaign. If anything but FPTP is in play in this country then Conservatives and Labour would finally be at risk of losing power.

In part because of the fact if was AV though. The Tories specifically pushed for that being the PR system up for referendum for that exact reason.

A lot of people who wanted PR voted against AV because it wasn't a great system, I always thought that was self defeating but there you go.

Yep. AV lost. The electorate didn't want reform.

I find it unlikely that people who want PR or AV+ would prefer FPTP to AV. Which was the only offer on the table.

Has anyone posted big parcels abroad before? Going to Germany for 2 months in June, but want to take my bike and a bit of luggage. Thought it might be cheaper and definitely easier to post it, as I'll be staying with a friend. I'll have to take trains either side of the flight which would be a bit of a pain with a bike box and luggage so. Any places you recommend for postage?

I'm pretty sure some of the older games, like FIFA 98 and such looked better on PC.

I remember sponsors being on the kits when I played as a kid and I didn't play FIFA after 99.

Definitely. FIFA 98, WC98 and 99 were much better on PC.

2000 was quite bad though, cartoony graphics. Still fun though.

150kph winds, hammered it down with rain for about 72 hours non stop and 210,000 homes without power.

Sydney's fucked.

Parts of Manly being evacuated as they think the dams about to burst.

They said the winds were similar to a category 2 cyclone. I have no idea what that means though.

I wish it would pass through, the wind and rain is fucking ridiculous. Been like this since Sunday.
