Working on that, i've made alot of changes already in one day!
Updated todo list
Nkunku
I saw it changing. Very much appreciate you guys job you made already.

I think you may bypass it by creating a "request", in requests base material upload your cut-out and after that submit your cut-out again as a finished material. Or just wait, because I believe we may get this feature soon

They are practically cut already, I just thought I would offer the opportunity for a quick tidy up by proper cutters instead of resizing them myself. The one missing MP one I requested has already been "completed" so I don't understand the big deal about this. They are small but surely the fact they are actually cut out already can allow an exception.
I "flooded" the request board for this reason alone, I haven't done it before and won't again.
jWaSiMhE
These ones are already complete and thus do not have to wait to be completed. The ones I checked did NOT have a newer or larger resoluition.
I will now resize them myself to 180x180 like I should have done in the first place.
moondog777
those aren't gigantic, but good resources?
jWaSiMhE
All of them have now been "completed" by myself. Apart from the one which was a normal improvement request (Romas Dressler)

I think that just edit as it was before will be enough and more simple.Everything else seems too complicated.I was changing sources on old forum for more than a half requests, sometimes people can't find better source and sometimes they are just lazy.So just edit button for changing images will be enough + maybe just some kind of notification for requester that his original request was bad and that image is changed don't sounds bad.
Maybe I didn't understand this part "Or maybe a better option is, within a moderator panel, you can upload a better image and it automatically rejects the old one and creates a new request with the better image but the old details (fm_id, name etc).".On that way we would have bunch of rejected and good requests for same people on the same page.Filtering of requests is not that much interesting at every visit
Also,I don't know why but teampack requests preview doesn't work...
Mate they were images in 150x150 resolution with white background,no matter what we have to cut them. Now you removed that white background but they are far from good images for MP.Just check those cuts on dark background.

Mons can testify that I'm not capable of cutting, so I hope all those that do will continue their great work. Thanks guys.
jWaSiMhE
That is to do with me doing the cutting and not the size though.
They aren't that good but at least I've solved the problem of all those requests. I will reupload them as an improvment mixpack.
The one which is missing HAS been cut properly, so that is the most important thing.

I'm not sure that any of them is an improvement, especially with those sources...
jWaSiMhE
Seriously? The existing images are pretty good but you can clearly see a difference in age in alot of the players. One of them even is not even the normal head straight at the camera and 2 shoulders on each side pose.
improvement
existing
For me that is a clear improvement when weighing up the age of the player between images and the hairstyle too. I don't normally care for this neither I should add. I think 90% of cuts should be missing ones or to replace images far worse that what i am suggesting.
for some reason this one didn't all bad on a black background like the others. maybe because I centered it a bit when attempting to make the background transparent and resized it.

At first this is not the place for this kind of conversion. Also, yes maybe they need newer images, but those sources are awfull and there are much better sources for all of them.
jWaSiMhE
It is isn't the place. I'm tired of this anyway, much better things to worry about. They are uploaded, if they aren't done so be it.

People are free to upload requests and cuts, and we are free to then choose them or not depending on their quality. At 2,000+ images in each update pack, heaven forbid we have to justify each individual image choice, we'd never get anywhere.
Just for everybody's information, there's a range of reasons as to how I determine if a cut is good enough to be added to the megapack as an improvement. Size, quality of cut, clarity of details, lack of snow, recentness etc. I don't take the name of the cutter into consideration at all, in fact I just chuck all the images into one folder and compare them one by one, cleaning/centering them along the way when necessary. Although these days I can generally guess who cut each image; you'd be surprised
In this particular case, the images are much more recent and not from bad sources, but the cuts are somewhat jagged, I'm afraid. I try to fix what I could, but it's not always possible...

I have 2 suggestions for now:
@Rob
1. Is it possible to let users know if they already downloaded image before (just like with Megapack updates :"You last downloaded on - " ).It would be good to know the last 'harvest' time so to avoid downloading duplicates.
2. Preview frame (box) with black (or both black and white) background so cut imperfections could be seen straight away?

(I think I figured it out, nice new system)

Rob is working on it and it should be live shortly. We're looking at a button similar to the new requests one where cutters can upload cuts as completed instead of requesting them. For the time being, the current system will have to do.
For the time being, yes. As per the above, Rob will shortly make a new button for cutters wherein they can directly post individual completed cuts. Having seen your requests/cuts, please continue with this method until the new system is online, which should be quite soon...
Footygamer
Woops, i'll put that back in!
Can you explain in more detail, why can't you, what's the problem?
Can't fix anything without more information
That would probably be better than the current preview button, i'll look to change it up.
hmm I don't think that's right, if something seems stupid it's probably an error rather than intentional i'll look into it some more.
Yeah i'll look to add something like that
I can look to try and add that
Footygamer
Emails are still not optional, but i'll look to add that.

*Edit* Just saw that only zip-files works with the "Browse uploaded files"-function. Is it possible to do the same with .rar-files?
mons
I can answer this as I'd asked him yesterday. Due to the way the site is built (I'm not very technical, I can't get into more depth, sorry), this is sadly not possible.

Excellent! Thanks
