FM 2017 FLUT skin dark - Final Version

Skin Dark (Final Version) for FM 2017 regular career mode and widescreen (1920x1080).

Compatible with DF11 and Scope faces.

I would like to start by expressing my acknowledgment to all FMfans who keep me motivated to edit the FlutSkin with kind words of support and stimulus.
In spite of my great recognition to all FM Skinners and graphic/addons producers that make our FM experience much more exciting, I would like to express a special thank you to PATRES10, for the tailor-made default kits I included in the skin; to NECJEFF, for the original creation of country locator that I adapted in Flutskin; to JOVOVICH, for the wonderful match intro panels; to SIRWILL and PIKAWA, for the match scoreboards I included in the skin; and, “last but not the least”, to RUNE, who has always shared his ideas with me, was responsible for the most innovative idea to improve FM skins visual – the citypics – and who has been a “compagnon de route” since the beginning of this journey.
All of you are the main source of inspiration that has made possible to improve FlutSkin since the first time (in FM13) I decided to try to edit a skin.

About this update
This version does not include "structural" (or big) changes. It includes, however, several tweaks in different panels, namely in the following:
- News panel: pre-season report team preview, post match analysis, pre-match opponent analysis and team report panel tweaked
- Match preview, Match overview and Match pre-match panel: all the lineups in those panels were tweaked
- Match titlebar score: scoreboard was tweaked
- Flut match scoreboard (tweaked)
- Match introduction: League one, Serie A, K League, Bundesliga included (from Jovovich); Liga NOS included (non official intro, made based on EPL league)
- Board room ( “new” )
- Club overview panel: slightly larger club kits and Last XI tweaked.

Resolution requirements:

This skin was made to work properly in 1920x1080 (1080p) full screen mode. As a result, some panels won’t work properly in other resolutions (and also in 1920x1080 windowed mode).

IMPORTANT NOTES:

In this pack I included a TUTORIAL PDF with instructions regarding the structure of your Graphics folder in order to view the citypics, the kits and the competition logos in player details and in title bar.

How to add Flut Skin in FM17

Download and extract the .rar file (using either 7-Zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for Mac).

Place the "fm2017flutskin" folder here:
Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2017\skins

Create the folder "skins" if it doesn't exist.
Start FM17 and go to Preferences screen and then into the Interface tab.
You should see FM 2017 Flut Skin - Dark - Final Version as option in the skin drop down of the Overview box.
Hit the Confirm button.

Please note this skin is provided as is. It has nothing to do with Sports Interactive or SEGA and won't be supported by them.

Hey Flut love the skins but I noticed one thing the text on teams that play in white (eg Tottenham & Swansea) is white on a white background on the left sided bar so is undreadable on the 2.0 Dark Skin?
Changed to the 2.0 White Skin and the text changes to the teams second colour and so becomes readable again.

How do can we change the text for the dark skin?

In fact I think I forgot to change the xml in use. In the following path skin/panels/generic, you will find a xml with the name "sidebar menu table_". This is the right xml. Rename it for "sidebar menu table" and overwrite the other one. That's it (reload the game). Let me know if is everything okay.

The skin is absolutely awesome, but there's a few problems that I have found. First of all it doesn't show the shirt in player profile, although it works elsewhere, like in the club page. It shows the club logo instead and it's faded into the background. It doesn't show the competition logo either and it works on other pages too. For some players it partially shows the competition logo, but it's also faded into the background. And the third issue that i have is related to the 125% zoom that I have to use due to my high resolution monitor and some box backgrounds don't fit the boxes. It works fine at 100% zoom, but that's not an option for me. Oh and how can I hide the hidden attributes from the player view, because I think it's cheating. I added a picture in which you can see the issues I talked about. Cheers

Edit: Okay I figured out the box backgrounds. I just had to change the values for slicing.

Hi guys I have a problem when I download the file it comes down as a white rar file in my downloads and when i put it into the skin folder nothing is showing.

Checked my skin from Fm 16 and there was multiple folders not just a single rar file would really love some help same has happened with my kits and background downloads!!

You need to open the rar file and copy over the folder inside it.

Hi Jubez: Thanks! Regarding the problems you report about logos and shirt, they are due the fact you have to use some graphics as I explain in the tutorial (pdf). In order to display the correct logos and also the kit in player profile you have to strictly follow that tutorial.
Regarding the hidden attributes you just have to delete the xml named “player additional attributes panel” located in skin/panels/player.

Hi Stoddy1980 : I don’t know if I understood your problem. Two tips: 1. Don’t forget to extract the .rar file; 2. If, for some reason the file contain an extension like .rar.part (or similar) you just have to delete the dot and the letters after .rar (then the file will be .rar and you can extract it)

Hi sindjilic: you can only have a city pic only, but for that you have to choose not play with the background pictures (using only a default background or one you want - but that background will be displayed in all panels)

There is 3 xml - one for each one of the pictures options. The files are in the custom folder:
- player profile details1.xml
- player profile details2.xml
- player profile details DF11 and scope.xml

Love this skin but my main problem is that sometimes the text/icons on the left hand side can be too similar in colour to the bar they are on (depending what team you're viewing/playing as) and it can become very hard to read and see where you are clicking. Sadly i've had to stop using it because of this but if a change could be made i'd gladly go back to using it.

That's what I thought first too, but I did indeed follow the tutorial. I have my kits in graphics/kits folder. In kits folder I have each league in it's own folder as supposed. And yet it doesn't work. Is the folder structure put somewhere in the code in config files so I could manually check and change it?

Hi VP: her you can find the panels for return to the default sidebar. Put the file in generic folder inside the generic folder of the skin (skin/panels/generic) and put the folder "menubar" in the panels folder of the skin (delete/overwrite the other one)

Hi Jubez: You have to replicate your kits folder, put it in the logos folder and change the configs for background left logos (in order to display the kits in player overview); those kits will be read as logos; in the same way you have to duplicate (twice) your competitions logos and change the configs: in one folder for background left logos; for the other folder as background right logos (if you use, for instance, notepad++ you can do that changes easily and quickly)

I have a question...Is it possible to reduce size of player picture? I use Cut Out Player Facepack and when the skin resizes and scales the photos, it looks no clear and pixelated.

the link to the citypics 4.0 is dead. And one other thing. Could you upload the citypics with sorting. E.g. all europe countries in the folder europe? Now there are only all contries in one folder (e.g. usa, germany, portugal, and so on).

I use your FM17 2.1 Skin and have a Question. How can i change the background color of the continue button ?
With white teams (HSV, RedBull Leipzig, Stuttgart, Tottenham, West Bromwich) is the background to bright.

I like the dark continue background of your FM16 Skin.

@ vandish: you can reduce the the player picture in the following xml (in the custom folder)

- player profile details1.xml
search for
<layout class="stick_to_sides_attachment" alignment="vertical" inset="9" />

increase the value 9 (you also can change the value of top in order to adjust the picture)

player profile details2.xml
<layout class="stick_to_sides_attachment" alignment="vertical" inset="8" />

increase the value 8 (you also can change the value of top in order to adjust the picture)

player profile details DF11 and scope.xml
<layout class="stick_to_sides_attachment" alignment="all" inset="0" />

increase the value "0" (you also can change the value of top in order to adjust the picture)
