This file will need to be re-applied if/when official patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are automatically re-installed by Steam when official patches come out.
Some of these changes, ESPECIALLY THE CLUB NAMES, may not apply in the Beta, FM Touch or in existing save-games. There's a workaround for that in the first post.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 2019 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed, such as Champions League, Europa League and Premier League displaying instead of EURO Cup, EURO Vase and Premier Division respectively. It will also fix the fact that the Japanese National teams don't call up real players and that the Bayern manager has a fake name. These are all fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for Brazilian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French clubs to circumvent licensing restrictions. It also adds real-life media and journalists, encompassing most major footballing nations and continents. Brazilian clubs' text colours are also changed through an editor data file. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all the files in this paragraph to work, however, you will need to start a new game.

This should be what your editor data folder looks like now. There may initially be a config.xml file in this folder and it can be safely overwritten; it is generated by FM every time the game starts.
To make sure the files have been applied correctly, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase in your saved game, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, Japanese national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not instantly. Do keep in mind that this file does not add Japan-based players are not in the official database and these will need a third-party add-on to be created and added.

I appreciate the work you're doing tremendously, but perhaps it's best if you focus on places where change is really necessary

As long as all parties have the exact combination of files, I really don't see why not.
Thanks for that @RoCCo_42, I'll fix that one as well

Just like in the previous years, I downloaded your Fix Files. I followed every step correctly, but when I start a new career, I keep having those fake names for the german teams. PS: I have the 19.1.1. version of the game. Any chance of solving this, except doing this from the Notepad?
Thanks in advance!!

FM19 contains real names for German clubs out of the box. Anybody not using this file will still get the correct names for German clubs, so I can't begin to understand how you're having this issue.
In fact, this year the file does not contain any changes to these teams since it's not necessary.
Can you give us a screenshot of the issue you're having please?

Here you are:

I've downloaded this file and everything seems to be updated apart from the some teams in Spain. I've taken a screenshot of La Liga and paste it onto a word doc in the attachment.
Should I download the file again?
Anyone else had this issue with the name of some teams?
mons
That's utterly bizarre. Everything is fine in my save
Really don't know what to say. Can you try starting it in the English language? Maybe it's a language-specific issue for some reason?
It looks like you haven't applied the files correctly or before starting a new game. Can you give me a screenshot of your editor data folder please? Ideally you take a screenshot then paste it in Paint instead of a Word document.

I'm not exactly sure what I could do tbh
The editor data file is not language-specific so using it should theoretically fix the problem for you.
Looks lovely, but that'll inevitably open up a can of worms with regards to competition colours so I'll steer well clear.
Can you take screenshots of the screen you get just before you start a new game? i.e the one where the editor data files being loaded are clearly displayed. And also a screenshot of the Spanish teams' selection screen.
As can be seen in the screenshot for this download, those clubs' names are being changed so it must be something that you didn't do quite right, so it's now a matter of locating it.
I'll have to check and see whether that one's along the same lines of the others in its country, but I've taken note of it and thanks
Edit: That's already their short name, why would it need to be changed?

In the first post.
They are only necessary if you have already started a save game. If not, club names appear as changed by this file once you start a new game.
mons
Apart from the teams in the top 2 tiers, @tyrionn has edited the "colors for all teams in Brazilian Serie C and D as well as teams with 1k+ rep from the major state championships (Rio, Sao Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Bahia, Pernambuco, Parana, Minas Gerais and Santa Catarina)". This will mean that only very lower league clubs do not have the club colours on the main page matching those of their kit. This is a hard-coded licensing restriction which could only be changed manually.
More updates will follow in the coming days
kfnielsen
Inside the folder it says V1.0
Another thing is this save game compatible?
mons
Good spot - reuploading files accordingly.
As always, changes made through editor data files will need a new game to be started while lnc changes are save-game compatible.

There's a trailing space after "Serie BKT " in the Competitions and other Fixes Inc file,
Cheers.

For some reason it's not work in my case.
Here lines what I have add:
#"CLUB_LONG_NAME_CHANGE" 71075348 "FC Obolon-Brovar" ""
#"CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" 71075348 "Obolon" ""
But club name still stay the same, unreal Obolon-Brewer

I haven't had any issues at all with it. Starting a new game is extremely quick. And it's not broken in any way, shape or form, it's just that some users have issues with it lengthening the time it takes to start a new career. It doesn't affect your save game otherwise.
It's not something I would be able to fix as it's a problem with FM19 rather than this download. Hopefully SI issue a hotfix to sort this out.
