I've encountered an issue that surfaced completely out of the blue.
If I remember correctly, I was able to use the site normally last Friday (2nd October), but when I tried to download the Data Update on Saturday, the Download button on the page didn't work. At first it seemed the button was completely unresponsive, but it does seem to try and load something and then fail and stop every time - either that or clicking "Download" simply causes the page to refresh itself. The same happens if I try to download an SS kit pack, 3D kit pack or some other content pack with a Download button on its page, but if there's a direct link (instead of a button) to a downloadable kit pack etc. I have no trouble whatsoever downloading it.
It also doesn't help if I right-click the Download button and try to open the link in a new window. The prompt "do you wish to save or open the file...?" will not appear at all. No other trick seems to enable downloading it either.
I haven't encountered similar issues on other web sites. Sortitoutsi.net seems to be the only one.
Now, I have always used Mozilla Firefox as my only browser and have never before had this issue, so I reluctantly resorted to testing Microsoft Edge browser and, for some reason, it downloads the Data Update just fine. The issue only comes up in Firefox.
To my knowledge, Firefox did not get any new update around the time this issue began. Nothing seems to have changed on my end. That is why I'm wondering if some mechanics behind the site's downloads were recently changed and that might be causing the issue on the Firefox browser. On the other hand, I haven't seen any posts from other users about the same issue, which does not make sense.
I'm dumbfounded and just wanted to ask if something on the site might be causing the issue or clashing with my browser, because I'm out of ideas myself - and I don't wish to use two separate internet browsers at the same time.
Thanks!

The new site will be online on monday... So wait until then and then start to report any bugs on the new site ( there will properly be plenty to report)... I don't think anything will be changed on this site anymore.

I can't think of any reason it wouldn't be working, it's just normal HTML.
Is it possible an adblocker or some other virus software intercepting?
Tommy Hughes
My virus protection consists solely of Win 10 firewall and antivirus. Haven't noticed any changes or updates altely. Also tested disabling Adblocker, but the button still did not work. It's so strange that a basic website element stops from working all of a sudden. I just cannot recall anything that would've changed in my system around that time.
But thanks for your help all the same!
