This only happened once so I have just overlooked it. I deleted the file and started again

OK I have done the whole process again, this time for all if the leagues . My screen differs to yours slightly and the league schedule heading does not come up.
So again I have come up with the same results , the friendly fixtures change to the desired times but the other fixtures remain the same

The league schedule is always there in a pre existing league structure its under the stages tab as shown in the advanced rules thread
you need to put up screenshots and state what version of DB you are editing etc if you cant find it and NB you can copy and paste an image direct to your post 😉

Once again many thanks for your help with this.
I am making progress. I have followed your instructions on the header thread. Its worked for the main french league. All fixtures have changed to the desired time.
For the two French leagues below it has changed the initial friendlies but not the main fixtures. So I m clearly not doing something right ….but I am close. I will try again later when I have more time.

Another question ;-) When I run the test it runs and the date says 2023 . this is the date showing when the test stops. Does this mean the fixture times will only be changed up to that date? If it does all of this could have been pointless as I tend to do much longer saves.
I now have the top 2 leagues in France done ….just level 3 to get sorted. Its just pot luck I think, I follow your guidelines but you really have to delve to find some of the fixtures you need to amend.

the test date doesnt mean the rules wont work after that its just the editor testing the new rules for conflicts
you can extend the end test date IIRC

Many thanks for your help with this . I have managed to do it and could not have without your guidance . It gets really complicated with certain leagues . There are so many options to change and it’s a bit of trail and error really

sometimes you have to try things many times to get the desired result
the sad thing is SI have never provided a ‘how to manual’ it has relied on users through many lost hours of trial and error and then putting together user guides/passing on info to assist others

Yeah without your guide I literally would have failed , there is no doubt about that .
its finding all of the different competitions, then all of the different stages , then changing all of the options within each …….but you are also kind of semi guessing too. But it’s done for France so thank again .
however if they do another update I am assuming it will have to be done again 😀

if there is another update it should be minor and wont effect your file, at worst you should just need to verify it in the new DB
only issue would be if the update changes rules/structure to France/French leagues in some way and I dont think that will be happening😉
