I note you still haven't mentioned which “high tier teams with new facepacks isnt being cut when some people upload the team pictures” you were referring to, probably because there aren't actually any.

And, with respect, saying that “a lot of really low quality pics have been accepted recently for high tier players and it seems kinda weird compared to previous high quality pics of the players” isn't really speaking in a friendly manner, either.

Perhaps if questions put to staff were made in good faith, then we wouldn't react so adversely. It's not fun for us either when self-entitled users like you just come here to demand stuff, are impatient, criticise without knowing what they're talking about and expect us to accept all this; that's what I call toxic.

Maybe examples of what you mean would make it easier to get to the heart of the issue and see if there are any imrpovements than can be made 👍

Crop it to the area around the face and put it through remove.bg, then resize it, and you should be just fine 👍

Hi all, been away from FM for a good number a years now. Last time I was around, there was somewhere to upload a picture of yourself to be cut for you manager picture? Is this still available? 

I'm hoping I can find the motivation to play FM again and if so, will get PS back and help with the cut outs as I used to love doing them

If you still remember the basics of cutting, it's much easier nowadays ever since remove.bg came onto our radar. It's a lovely free online tool which removes the background, and does so to a very high level indeed, including those with long, curly hair. It literally takes one five seconds to go from image to a draft cut-out, which will still need rotating, cropping etc., but it doesn't take me more than a minute per cut nowadays. We've also moved to 250x250 cuts instead of 180x180 whenever the source allows it, but otherwise most of the guidelines remain the same from way back when.

If you don't want to fork out for Photoshop, there is also a lovely free online tool on photopea.com which is pretty much a carbon copy of Photoshop with 95% of the functions, the icons and menus being the exact same 😉

Yes, and no. The basics are all the same, just the small matter of a few tweaks to make things easier and improve the eventual cutting output.

That's not how this forum works, and you should know that well by now. If you think players deserve to have new cuts, you should put the hard yards in to collect and request them yourself. However, those images aren't the largest, plus most of them will probably have recent, virtually identical and excellent cut-outs already, so there's no value added in cutting them all just for the sake of having new images. For the ones which are, use the request forum to do them and don't expect somebody else to do them for you.

honestly i have no idea how most of this forum works since its pretty complicated and dont spend all my day here, it was a genuine question, thats why i just asked, last time i checked it wasnt illegal to do so.

And I answered you, in fact 😕 We've already explained to you in the past how requests are to be made, and what kind of images are to be requested, so asking the same question just phrased differently is somewhat pointless.

You know how to request images, because you have done so in the past. It's not pretty complicated, it's quite simple in fact - you find a source image, click the upload image button on the submissions forum and select the person you want to upload an image for.

What's the reason you posted the sources if not for somebody else to do them for you? 😕 This is the umpteenth time you've posted in these forums either criticising our work indirectly or asking that somebody else does something about some perceived shortcoming. If there's something you believe should be remedied, then it's you who should provide the material for the community to deal with it. This has also been explained to you a few times already now…

If there is a source that is too small or is very low quality, please put it here, so I can make it suitable for cutting.

I have some faces that I would like to be requested to be cut but the contribute tool doesn't have their id's as they are new to the game, where's the best place to post?

Best thing to do is to hold off until the new players are added to the site's database, hopefully in the coming days.

We already have a large chunk of no-IDs ready to be added, and it might be the case they've been done already…

There's a thriving submission forum here, but I'll be honest and say I'm not too sure that the sources available on that page are any good at all, unless you're able to get larger versions of them. Here's a thread with some tips and hints on how to find the best possible sources for your request, which might help 👍

When I download this back, 90% of the player faces are from the previous season. In my team Lazio they are all the same as they were in the previous season and of the biggest talents in the game, Luka Romero doesnteven have a face-picture.

As outlined earlier, it is not feasible to constantly update player faces for all 330,000+ images in the megapack. As a result, while more recent images are always preferable, we don't really consider it necessary to update player faces every season but only do so when good sources become available or become necessary due to a change in hairstyle or look.

A lot of the senior players at Lazio were either added from their nation's Euro 2020 photoshoots or earlier this year. I don't see anyone here whose image is very outdated or of low quality. If you can find high-quality sources for any player who you think needs replacing, then we have a submission forum for that exact reason. But in a lot of cases, there is little or no recognisable difference between a player's photo in 2020 and one taken in 2021.

As is customary, the torrent file is made available prior to the release of the game. This means that players who are added to the FM database cannot reasonably be expected to be included within it, can they? Since the release of the torrent file two weeks ago, an update pack was released (available here for download), which includes Romero's cut as well as that of many players newly-added to the game. Update packs will keep getting released on a periodic basis adding new images and updating existing ones. 

This is a community project: if you think that a player's cut-out needs changing, provide images so that the community can deal with it. We can't just magic images out of thin air 😉

That was an update I did not have. The only newer photos I really care about are those for the Lazio players.

Questions;

1, How did you filter away so that you only got the Lazio-players/leaders?
2, Since I only care about the newer photos - can I just go there and take all the newcomers in the upcoming weeks? most players are there but some are missing.

3, Is there a way of downloading all of them in one or do I need to do it manually one by one?

1. I searched for Lazio in the team search field here.
2. You can check that page when update packs are released and see which ones have been added by searching by the update pack release number (e.g. 2022.01, 2022.02)
3. That's why we have megapack update packs, so people can have everything in one download. If you don't want that, then downloading them manually is the only way you can get them.
