sortitoutsi Background and Stadium Packs
The Backgrounds Megapack was originally made up of aerial shots of stadiums taken from Google Maps and Google Earth, but is now also containing Competitions, Player and Fan Backgrounds, as well as beautiful City Images.

I like the new layout with individual folders and configs. It gives one a choice of which packs to install. Great work.

Hey bud, absolutely love your work every year (and still contribute each time also) would you be able to assist in this situation please?
The below SS is my files about backgrounds and the in game SS showing no backgrounds. Using FLUT check the full screen etc, Faces badges and Strips work.
@Jaun Aldu After downloading an update pack, you have to move all the fles from there straight into your ‘main’ backgrounds folder. You now have them in seperate folders with seperate configs, that's why it doesn't work
BigAuldGrump
@BramNUFC Cheers pal, Im just needing to make sure i understand. When i download all 5 files i have to use 2 separate folders (one for the updates and one for the main) so 5 files will be in (lets call it background main) and the other 5 files ‘’background update'' ??
Or do i put just the configs into the above assumption? Sorry mate i just need to iron this last bit out.

All of my stadium images are of really low quality after the last update, have they been downgraded?
Kasper Lund Hjorth
My mistake. Was some incompatibility with some other pack somewhere.

@BramNUFC Hi Bram. I think I am having the same issues as others who are posting on here. Logos, faces, trophies all work, but backgrounds just show a default inside stadium. I think my issue is what you mention here… When I extract just the stadium backgrounds, I see two folders that get unzipped: sortitoutsi Stadium Backgrounds and sortitoutsi Stadium Backgrounds 2023.01. The “2023.01” has all the images, but the first one has the config file. Am to amalgamate the images and the config file into one folder? Do I need to place it somewhere specific or just inside the graphic folder? Does this background folder need to be called something specific? Thanks!

My folder is now this:
And it is working fine:
What i did´nt understand, why i have at the fole of 2023.1 so many folders. One “old”? One “new”?
vonHolzminden
I did´nt understand why i have “sourtitoutsi fan backgrounds” AND “sortitoutsi fan backgrounds 2023.01”?
Sorry for 2 posts.

Any chance we can go back to the mega pack?
mienos
I thought I was wrong in installing the updates, so I downloaded all the megapacks again, but the only background I see is the opening background of FM with the coach in the locker room.
tayfun
I have that same problem
vonHolzminden
Clear cache and reload skin. If this not help, start your fm again. It works fine. I installed the new pack.
BigAuldGrump
Did you download the megapack AND updates or just the megapacks? Also
does your folder look like the one i posted?
As i have reloaded and cleared and restarted game and PC. but nothing
tayfun
i tried, same problem, i use flut skin
@Footygamer When extracting the update, it gives you 2 seperate folders for each type (with multiple folders within them)
Can't they be combined so your extracted folder will look like this as well? It's probably causing some confusion for people
tayfun
Could it be related to the config file?
Footygamer
This would be a bug. I didn't have the time to properly test the update before it went live.
@Jaun Aldu You should only have one folder for each background type.
To avoid confusion, I'd advise you to always download and extract the update packs to a different place than your FM folder (just put them on your desktop or whatever). After you've copied everything over, you can then delete those.
What you then do is only move the actual images and config over to your backgrounds folder.
Click through all the folders in the update pack until you get here. Copy all of them
And then put them here
Then you need to delete the old config file and replace it with the one in the update pack (I understand it's a bit confusing with how it's currently set up)
Does my above comment help? The folder structure can work in a lot of different variations. Generally the best thing to do is to have as little sub-folders as possible. So like I have in my screenshot, graphics > team city backgrounds would work fine.
The config file can either be within the same folder as the images, or seperate like how we have set it up by default.
As above it's a bug, will be fixed 👍
Probably not, unless you can name a benefit of it. It won't be faster to download, and you have to apply the updates individually in both situations, so I don't really see the point.
@mienos & @tayfun Can you make sure your folder structure looks like how I explained it a few posts above? If it's still not working then, please post screenshots here of what the folders look like for you.

I find it easier as the changes auto replace what was in the mega pack
vonHolzminden
I downloaded both.
tayfun
it works thanks.
BigAuldGrump
Just wow. Thanks so much for your help mate. ‘’Ha'way the lads'' It did work yes!!
vonHolzminden
So i should have 5 folders (with underfolders) in my background folder ?
Like this?
Or would it better for the next updates like this?
@6scholl6 Both of those options should work, it's whatever you find the easiest.
Like I said above it's best to have as little sub-folders as possible, so you could even move all of these straight into the graphics folder itself (or into a folder named backgrounds, instead of having pictures > backgrounds > soritoutsi backgrounds megapack)
ryangentile
@BramNUFC That seemed to have done it! Moved the image folder out of the update (2023.01) folder and moved them next to the config file. Thanks!
