Franck

Here is your answer:
Hibee
Hasn't he refused all offers from outside of Italy?
Franck
I have no idea.
He's probably going to stay at Juventus and rot on their bench if that is the case though.
Slashman X
Pity, would have been a class signing
Julian.

Although I think they've been linked with every Italian player/person/pasta dish/ice cream since Paolo Di Canio arrived.
Fantastic
Sunderland really must believe Di Canio has some kind of clout with Italian players. I don't thin I've ever seen any Italian talk kindly abut him, save for Lazio Ultras.
Shola
The Insigne link/comments is from the start of the summer I think. Before they signed Giaccherini and Altidore.
Tim Matavz? from PSV? He's meant to be good isn't he?
Sunderland is probably nicer than Naples tbf.
Eric Portapotty
Not to mention playing in the Champions League, as compared to taking part in the Tyne-Wear derby.
That said, he did manage to convince Giaccherini to come, so there must be some truth in that.
Franck
As if cars on fire aren't a common sight in Naples
Poe
Aye, I genuinely have no idea why anyone would trade living in Italy playing for probably the 2nd best club there to move up here.
Some parts of Newcastle are nice - but that's it. Everywhere else is a shit hole.
Di Canio seems to think working under him is a massive pull for any player - I'm really unsure why.
Hibee
I dunno, I'd be lying if I said I can remember seeing him over a full match but from his stats and the reaction of varous Lazio sites he's not what we're looking for. 22 goals over two seasons in a league where Graziano Pelle got 27 or so isn't really encouraging.
Number 1
Bit like us and the French connection we have.
I'm not saying that Naples is all that good - I'm almost certain they had a big riot there, and its in the bit of Italy getting it most in the neck from their economic problems. But I'd have thought that, having sold Cavani and Lavezzi in consecutive years, Napoli would wanna keep hold of a key player or two like Insigne. Plus I'm pretty sure he'd just move to Turin or Milan soon enough.
Quagliarella is probably a better bet.
bluemoon.
To be fair to him, by all accounts he's massively improved since he left Italy. He also has a good name.
Tommo.
Shola
I think I just assumed he was on a similar level to Mertens and the other highly rated Eredivisie players.
Telegram Sam
I'm pretty sure he'll score against us next season.

Newcastle are significantly well known on the continent compared to Sunderland though.
Tommo.

Not exactly a shock that the money from the sales of Lodi and Gomez is spent on more Argentinians

He's got a release clause of £8m according to a few sources.
Also owned by a third party who are believed to be reluctent to sell him this window, but I imagine it would be hard to resist getting their client a move to United.
