Hi all,

My documents were on iCloud, I have disabled that as I couldn't load any skins on FM22.

This path does not exist for me

For Mac: /Users//Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2022/skins

I've tried putting skins in the same folder as graphics etc but no joy, never had this issue before I had my desktop and documents on iCloud.

I've even re-installed the game to see if a folder is created but my documents folder is now completely empty

Please help!!

Cheers

From FM20 onwards, there's been a substantial change to how Mac FM documents are stored. Previously the files would automatically go in the Documents folder here:

Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Documents/Sports Interactive

Now the files will instead appear in the following location:

Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive

By default this folder is hidden, so to access you need to do as follows:

Open Finder
Click ‘Go’ from the menubar
Press and hold down the ‘Option’ (Alt) key
This will bring up the ‘Library’, click to enter then go to ‘Application Support’ -> ‘Sports Interactive’ -> ‘Football Manager 202x’

Hi

I have the skins in a skins folder at the address you suggested, but still no good.  Should I do something different in the actual game?

Cheers

Those are FM21 skins you're trying to use in FM22, which won't work. Skins generally have to be re-released for every year's game due to the changes in the UI from year to year, so they can't be reused over multiple FM versions.

The folder containing the skin should be directly in the skins folder. Anything in sub-folders, as is the case in your screenshot, will not be read.

I think the base skin is to go directly in the skins folder
