PSG has finally set its sights on Laurent Blanc. The former coach of the France football team (2010-2012) will result in the Paris Saint-Germain during the next two seasons. It will have the onerous task of successor to the Italian Carlo Ancelotti, champion of France 2012-2013 with the capital club and that is committed with Real Madrid.

Laurent Blanc does not seem to have been the first choice of the Parisian leaders. In recent weeks, many other more or less credible leads have been launched in the press: those leading to the Portuguese José Mourinho, the French Arsene Wenger, the Spanish Rafael Benitez, the Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, the Italian Roberto Mancini, the Dutch Guus Hiddink, Dane Michael Laudrup, to the Portuguese André Villas-Boas, the Italian Fabio Capello, Dutch Frank Rijkaard... Many of these prestigious technicians would have said 'no', displeased that Paris Saint-Germain offers two years of contract.

"The mission assigned by the leaders of the Paris SG to Laurent Blanc is continue the path initiated last year and lead the team to the European summits," writes PSG in a statement. In the same minute, the Real le Real Madrid Madrid announced that Carlo Ancelotti, who
resulted in PSG for a year and a half, was officially named coach of the Merengue club.

A mixed passage in team of France

Time was pressing so as the resumption of training approach for the MTP. The Qatari owners have chosen a technician who was champion of France with Bordeaux in 2009, but whose balance sheet at the head of the Blues is more mixed. Despite the quarter-final of Euro 2012 qualifying, we should remember that Laurent Blanc has sometimes struggled to manage the egos of some players in team of France (Samir Nasri, Jeremy Menez, Hatem Ben Arfa, Yann Mvila).

Will Laurent Blanc be able to manage those players from a club that has changed size and means within two years? His aura of great football, the 1998 World champion, will suffice to convince the star Zlatan Ibrahimovic striker or defender Thiago Silva to stay in Ligue 1? Give to others the desire to commit to the Paris-SG? One whom is nicknamed "the President" will need to manage a constant pressure exerted by PSG Qatari shareholders.
