You do realise that not everyone's parents are willing to/can afford to lend their children money all the time, right?

And there's plenty of parents who'll just hand their kids money with no interest in ever being paid back.

I don't know what Carroll's family situation is, but if he needs money for a new laptop, and the laptop is something he actually needs, checking if you can at least borrow some of the money from family is a lot more reasonable than going to the bank to do it.

I was looking at get it on a finance option as I have a job so I know i'll be able to pay it off but right now I do not have the money up front. I could wait, but the laptop would come in very handy for uni etc

Have you looked at a local credit union?

The one I use to work at, could give an instant loan of up to £200.

I remember when I was coming back to Aus last year I had a 6 hour stopover in Singapore.

Got put into the First Class lounge and just hammered the free beer. Flight flew in.

I'm seriously considering getting back into teaching guitar now that I'm only working part-time, I've missed doing it since we moved from Birmingham, it's just a bit of a ball ache getting around here in the middle of nowhere, especially whilst carrying heavy guitars, amplifiers, books and paperwork etc. but hopefully I'm going to have my licence soon making it much easier.

Could you not hold lessons at your place?

I could but as most of my students would be kids many parents have reservations about sending their kids round a strangers house unless you do few lessons at their house first and they get to know you a bit.

I can't understand the big fuss, it was a photo shoot, they must have taken many pictures, why then couldn't they have just used another as a player was messing around and having a laugh in this one, would anyone of cared if it hand't been that smarmy tosser he had done it to?

How is it even newsworthy?

Can't believe he had to fucking apologise for it just a bit of harmless, although childish, fun.

Yeah I don't think there's anything wrong with what he did, but the fact that it was that "smarmy tosser" he did it too makes him an idiot. It just irritates me that Rugby as a sport which has had to deal with its fair share of stupidity from England players grabs all the wrong headlines again just because of the immature actions of one player.

This reeks of an overbloated ego for Cameron, and rugby's exaggerated response for a Conservative prime minister.

What?

Cameron came out today and said that he didn't need to apologise, he knows he was just having a laugh

Okay, ignore what I said about Cameron, but you wouldn't see the same kinda response for a Labour PM. Rugby is a Tory sport.

It is very easy to come out afterwards and say no need to apologise but why not do so before when the media is raging about it? The fact he said it afterwards stinks of posturing as Cameron is trying to get favour back from the public.
