Doesn't Three let you use your plan abroad? If there's a Three in Germany then it's just like you're at home
Carroll.
Most likely will get a Euro pass for the first day, just to whatsapp and stuff to get to my accommodation, then I can get a sim once I get there

Isn't E-Plus part of it? Maybe it's different, but I could've sworn it worked for me when I was in Germany.
Nvm, you're right, there is no "Three Like Home" thingy for that link

I highly doubt KEVO has seen too much of the outside life in Dublin however he could probably give you good hospital advice!

You are a horrible person!

Can't stress how bad this genre of music is.

Awesome. Expensive (similar to Scandanavia though) but awesome. If you like pubs then there's no better place to live. You thinking of Dublin city or the suburbs? I grew up in the suburbs but basically live in the city now
ianbaker
Where abouts do you live now? My wife's sister lives in Phibsboro' & pays 600 euros a month to live in a room/bedsit/houseshare thing.
Slashman X
Drumcondra, next to Phibsboro really. 3 of us pay €1550 for a grand aul house. I pay €575 a month for a pretty big room. You can get places cheaper though obviously
ianbaker
But at least you are living with your mates, I'm guessing. They are sharing with all sorts, and have no say on when heating etc is on. Spend half their time at the moment in a coat indoors!

Alright.
Since I fucked up my exam I'm thinking about taking a job in Dublin. I'd be paid fuck-all though, so I'm not sure it is worth it.
ianbaker
What about learning Irish? If you think French is bad......
Slashman X
How much is fuck-all and whereabouts is it?
Franck
About €1300 per month. And it was some suburb outside of Dublin, close to some horse racing course.
Slashman X
Punchestown? That'd be in Kildare. 1,300 a month wouldn't be too bad, out there you could get a room for about 350 a month for a "high-end" style place
Franck
Leopardstown.

Dublin is pretty good Franck! Just got to find a job and earn some money further away from Dublin City the cheaper the rent obviously. Are you thinking of moving here?

Plus, working abroad would be a good experience.

I'm surprised that a Swede can have better job prospects than those in Ireland tbh.
What job is it anyway?
Franck
Jobs in tech support and the like are often outsourced to countries where the work employment laws are more favourable than the absolutely ridiculous laws we have in Sweden, Ireland is one of those countries. These businesses still need Swedish employees though, because they need people who can speak Swedish.
