I was thinking of Pochettino as well actually. Argentinian as well, might be able to get their record signing playing.
On the subject of Pochettino, can he actually speak English now? Surely he can't be using a translator still for team talks etc.

Why would he be available?
Signed a new contract 3 days ago to take it through to Russia 2018.

Can't see Spurs going for an interim, I don't think they're ready to give up the season. Only 5 points of fourth.
Why do people keep saying AVB set Spurs' record points tally. It is a complete meaningless statistic. It's high because only Man Utd had a really good season, and their were two really bad sides at the bottom. And I would say a poorer than average mid-table.
Amazing if Laudrup gets a big job in the same week Clarke gets sacked. Shows how daft football can be. Laudrup has taken 3 more points than Clarke in the past season and a half. Talk of Pochettino is bizzare, he has been at Southampton less than a year and hasn't even done anything yet.
Anyway if Spurs want a manager who can work besides a director of football, has European experience, can mould a squad of technichal foreigners into a cohesive team and mount a challenge for the top of the Premier League. There is only really one manager that Spurs can turn to;

Yeah, Swansea kinda gave up when the qualified for the final and were stuck in mid-table. Their points tally this year is a bit misleading
Poe
I hate that excuse - footballers should be able to play in both.
Plus the teams we were putting out in the early rounds of the Europa League were different to those in the Premier League.
One of Pardew's biggest excuses that and I hate it.

True. But 2 points more and a League Cup. That being difference between the sack and getting a big promotion, seems a bit daft. Especially considering, Laudrup seems to have more control over transfers, and has spent a lot more in the summer. WBA also had a really bad summer imo.
And yeah that stat WBA released justifying his sacking seems to be totally misleading. It's obvious WBA will slump towards the end of the season. Them (and Swansea) were miles off Liverpool and Everton above them, and comfortably above the mid-table/relegation battle. It's extremely likely their form will trail off, couple with teams who do need the points will often be desperate for a point against WBA.

Now, I haven't seen very much of Spalletti at Zenit, but based on what he did at Roma I definitely agree with Karlsen's reasoning. Spalletti turned a Roma attack led by Totti, Mancini, Taddei and Perrotta into the most innovative and one of the very best in Europe. Now Spurs don't have anyone near the genius of Totti, but they have about half a dozen players as good as or better than Taddei, Mancini and Perrotta.
As limited a manager as Spalletti is, watching him manage Spurs would be genuinely fascinating.
Again, AVB did not spend a "fuck ton" of money, Baldini did.
Now, you could blame AVB for not getting the most out of the players he was provided, but you could just as easily argue that Baldini bought the wrong players.

Worked the last time that happened

Levy was willing to sack Hoddle, so unless they've became bff's recently?
Clearly ill suited to get the best out of Lamela and Soldado then.

Pardew was Ashleys personal friend and didn't really get the job on footballing merit and that hasn't been the worst appointment in the world
And aye apparently they've became very close recently.

Carroll.

Would be a good suggestion if not for the fact he's already employed by a much bigger and more ambitious club than Spurs.

Honestly though, he started so well, then faded badly - and when you're bad at Arsenal the fans don't treat you well.
I blame the shisha.

Also, +1 on Tan being a monumental bell-end.
