Definitely did not see that coming. Not sure what's next for Juventus but Italy is probably next for Conte.

Jamie Jackson and David McDonnell say we aren't in negotiations for Vidal. Then again quite a few are confident we are and that it's nearly done.

Could Conte's departure be something to do with Vidal?

I doubt it, the reason seems to be the players coming in. The pressure was on Conte to make a real impression on the Champions League in 2014/15 and he wanted Sanchez and/or Cuadrado, instead their going after Iturbe.

Now Conte has gone I really doubt we'll see Vidal or Pogba leaving Juve, the board wouldn't have the balls to sell them after losing Conte.

Jamie Jackson's probably a good journalist, but he does an half make himself look like a prize cock at times.

If you're going to tweet United 'were never interested in Vidal' you better hope you haven't previously tweeted about said interest and written an article about it because either way you look like you don't know what your talking about.

Whats even more bizarre about the back tracking is that we know its not true, the player himself has confirmed theres some interest, so to say 'theres been no contact' is just factually incorrect even if that interest has now ended.

Alfred N'Diaye to Betis and Nacho Scocco to NOB's - Rumoured to be happening.

Noticed Villa have got rid of Sylla, Bowery and Helenius. Lambert seems to have signed a lot of complete duds as part of his youth kick. - Also lost Bannan, Albrighton and Delfouneso. Richardson, Senderos & Cole suggest that Villa have had enough of that.

Weird that as I always thought N'Diaye had it in him to be a decent player.

Same tbh, although I've barely seen him play. They have Cattermole and Bridcutt for DM already, plus Cabral for now.

I think Sunderland are skint, and genuinely need to sell to buy.

It would make sense, I swear Sunderland have spent stupid money on players every year for the past million years and never seem to actually sell anybody.

Ellis Short is a billionaire though, whether he's sick of spending money on complete dross like Adam Johnson and Jozy Altidore is yet to be seen.

N'Diaye dominated Cabaye and Tiote by himself in the derby he played, but was complete horseshit against Villa when they won 345345-0 that time.

Apparently Riviere will be unveiled tomorrow with Janmaat, and then our persuit of Lacazette will start again, according to GFN_France for the first bit (quite reliable) and Lee Ryder for the Lacazette bit (questionable).

Conte's displeasure, if you will, with the board has been known for sometime. He was basically put in a position where selling a star player was the only way he would get the funds required to invest further. I'm absolutely fuming that he's gone and how the board have decided to not hold their end up and opted to take matters re: player sales from the control of Conte.

I have no idea who is going to come in now, there really isn't anyone that I want besides possibly Spalletti or a super long shot in Vialli. Unless we once again look towards a former player who hasn't coached before. Genuinely would not be shocked if sides come in for the kill for Vidal and Pogba now though, perfect time to strike in all honesty.

No where else for him to go really. It's either Italy or kick his heels until a top job comes knocking.

Massimiliano Allegri is taking over at Juventus.

Seems like Allegri is going to become Juventus manager, god knows how. They haven't given it any proper thought, Conte only resigned last night, it's bizarre. They should have looked at Inter, when Mancini left they needed someone who could get them to that extra level in Europe and they went out and got Mourinho. I know Mourinho's not available now but there must be someone out there (at another club or not, you're Juventus, go out and poach someone) who'd be better than bloody Allegri. So unambitious!

Good news for the rest of Serie A though, get that Scudetto to Rome

Aye, Roma could be title favourites now, depending on what happens with their defence.

Why does no one rate Allegri? - Seems like he was doing well and Milan completely disintegrated around him

EDIT - Astori linked to Sunderland. Extremely unlikely?

Isn't the fee relatively low as well? ~£25m?

Madrid will have a cracking team on paper next year with Kroos and J. Rodriquez.

Surely Man Utd could have bought Kroos instead of Ander Herrera?

I mean he'd obviously choose Madrid over them but if they wrapped it up earlier in the summer maybe?

Apparently Montpellier have bid for Marvaeux on loan.

Should make it as difficult as possible for that move to go through only to pull out on deadline day after the way their chairman has went on

Doubt he'll go there, we're meant to be close to agreeing terms with him and Inter had a look a few weeks back, he's even being linked with Juve but that just seems lazy reporting based on little more than Allegri trained him at Cagliari and was linked with him during his time at Milan.

Speaking of Allegri he's not highly rated because he's an average tactician and horrific man manager, give him a decent team with the dressing room leaders on side like 2010/11 Milan and he'll do fine but when things start getting tough he struggles. Other reasons are that for such an attacking coach at Cagliari his Milan sides were very defensive, his subborn insistance with sticking to a 4312 when Milan were built for a 433 was strange to say the least, then there's replacing Pirlo with MvB, Kevin Constant as a fullback...

Did he have anything to do with transfers? I though Berlusconi and Galliani would be responsible for the vast majority of transfers.
