Up to watch the Grand Prix. Bet I wake my flat mates up with the telly. Don't really care.

David Coulthard doing the Gangnam Style dance with Psy had made my morning

Vettel wins again & take the championship lead,i think it's gonna be hard for Alonso to retake over again but not impossible.

Loving all the swearing during the F1 post race interviews.
Hamilton is starting to get on my tits again. Stop whining.
Starting? He's easily my least favourite driver.

I dislike Vettel, but hats off to him, today was an awesome performance.

Raikonnen is a legend. "Alonso is catching up." "Leave me alone." "My team was giving me shit for not smiling last week."

Also, I'm a bit bored of the Gangnam Style, but watching EJ, DC and Jake doing it made me laugh.
Lewis Hamilton is such a massive prick, I started hating Theo Walcott.

Hamilton's a knob, yeah. What is that on his face, is it meant to be a beard?
Huge, huge fan of Formula 1, roll on Silverstone 2013!

Sunday's race was... weird. I thought everything that needed to happen for Seb happened. The first safety car was timed well for him even with the incident on the TR. He made up a good 20 seconds or so on the front pack. Yes the car is fast, yes Seb's a decent driver but the real winner was the second safety car. Another huge gap closed down at the perfect time. Red Bull called him in at the perfect time to get off the supersofts though and get him out before the 5-10 pileup which wouldn't of been possible without the safety car (Bumping him up on the time before the top 10's one stop pits). I don't think he'd of finished on the supersofts, let alone hang on to a podium finish as they'd done an awful lot of laps. There's also 3 cars in the race that were doing everything in their power to help Seb in and out of 8-12th-ish position and of course a stupidly timed pit from RB on Webber which put him back out in the danger zones.

He didn't have to take as many of the quicker cars as he would have as they'd already taken themselves out, too. Little things like contesting with late breaking on non-race lines (colder parts of track) really affect performance and he avoided much of this due to the lack of competition. It wasn't anything special in my opinion, he's still a gobby arrogant shite. The illegal take on Grosjean meant he have to give up his place, which he did forcing Grosjean to take a shit driving line into a DRS zone where he could easily take that back. There needs to be a rule on this and fast. If I was grosjean I'd slam on the breaks and rape the cunt on the DRS myself.

Also I don't understand the hate on Lewis. The guy's a wanker because he says the shit nobody else has the balls to say? He's genuinely raced a fantastic season. Just like at Singapore he bows out in the clear running. From engine failure, gearbox issues and minor failed tweaks costing him valuable time with weakened downforce, front wheel lock ups... Damn. Don't even get me started. Bring on Mercedes!

Glad for Kimi! Deserving win on season consistency.
Ferrari purposely giving Massa a 5-place penalty, just so Alonso can start on the clean side of the track. Gotta feel for the chap

It won't change anything either, Vettel'll still win and do that fucking finger thing. Prick.
This is a great race.
Best race of the season. The previous Indianapolis circuit was never too popular and so interest waned which was a shame because the Americans really know how to throw a motor race (see Nascar) but with racing and overtaking like that it can hopefully pick up again over there.
Haha Vettel \o/
This could be a fucking amazing finale

Alonso's missus is hot as fuck

Gutted Vettel was able to climb through the ranks so easily.
Back in 6th already

A Leroy Jenkins reference during an F1 race. Wait, any mainstream sport? Ridiculous.
I don't even know who Leroy Jenkins is, seems to be all over the internet though. Vettel's got this shit now. Hope that fucking finger breaks.
Vettel \o/ Shame Humphrey's leaving the BBC. But still, imagine Bernie was BBC host.
It's ridiculous how a talented and exciting driver with a relatively large fan base like Kobayashi can get booted by someone who's largely unknown just due to sponsorship reasons.
That's F1, though, sadly. I suppose it's easy enough when you have the richest man in the world as your benefactor.

It depends whether they think Kobayashi has reached his ceiling, and whether they can make big steps in car development relative to their competitors.

The increased money they bring in from sponsorship could be what they need to make the next step. They've got Hulkenberg who has shown flashes when he's had a car that's competitive (e.g. this weekend just gone) and they've lost Perez who was bringing in a big chunk of sponsorship money himself. So probably just to have the same budget as last year they needed to have a driver who was bringing in big sponsorship money, they lose income they probably end doing worse on the circuit and losing themselves income the following year. Starting a downward trend.

Really I think it should be looked as Gutierrez replacing Perez as their sponsorship driver and Hulkenberg replacing Kobayashi as their (presumably) paid 'No.1/established' driver. If you look at it like that it doesn't seem like such a bad decision.

I know but it's kind of a shitty way to treat someone who's been getting consistantly better over the years, he got twice as many points this year as last year and got on the podium and got the fastest lap at China. Not to mention he could've been much higher up the points table had the car been slightly more reliable and had Maldonado not been a raging maniac. It seems unlikely that he'll get a seat next year unless a deal can be done with Williams or maybe Lotus if they decide to get rid of Grosjean which they should. Both of those seem unlikely though. It also seems strange to me that Perez has managed to get a drive with McLaren. I mean he's talented, but apart from his 3 podiums, he's been largely poor. I'd have given it another season but I guess they needed someone.

Either way, Kobayashi has become a large part of why I watch F1. Not sure it would be the same for me without him. I know most people don't care, but I really enjoyed his driving style.
Any news on Humphreys replacement for next season?

Brilliant race on Sunday too. Both deserved to win it, shame only one of them could.
Lee McKenzie or some dude who commentates for GP2 apparently.
