@Talpa70 What method are you using for your cutouts? The edges are really jagged on the ones you've completed, and a lot of the sources are large enough for 250px cutouts (which is preferred) instead of 180px

I use Photoshop, no filters, sometimes the magic wand, sometime the rubber, other times both. I currently use a 180px frame that I prefer, to decrease flie size and increase loading time.

On my FM, the picture looked perfectly fine, I'm sorry that my work wasn't satisfactory, just put out another request.

I hope you like it better in 250px

There isn't much wrong with your cuts at all, but when a new cutter emerges, we like to give him some pointers on how to improve his output

Magic wand only produces good results in cases where the background is very clear and the hair is really simple. Otherwise it will have a bit of issue with selecting the right parts.

When I cut, I personally use Vertus Fluid Mask to select the parts I want to cut out, then edit it further in Photoshop. Others prefer using Refine Edge. Lately, however, things have become considerably easier with remove.bg.

Have a look at this thread for some tips on all these techniques (including video tutorials) and some guidelines on what the megapack standard cut-out should look like. The intention is to have the same kind of cut-out in the megapack whenever possible.

As posted elsewhere, in future, it would be great to produce cuts in 250x250 whenever the source allows it. The difference in file size when compared to 180x180 is negligible (around 20kb on average) and the size of the image practically no effect on loading time. Some skins allow the display of faces in 250x250 and having the actual cut in 250x250 looks better than the skin upsizing it from 180x180.

Edit: P.S. Good job with the 250x250 cut - I had typed the above before seeing the cut, but might as well leave it there as an explanation

I look forward to seeing more of your work. If you have any questions, feel free to ask before finalising your cuts and I'll do my best to help out
