@Dylan347 What method do you use for changing the colours? I think the natural colouring of the source looks fine actually, it may only need a little brightness

I do normally just use the basic summer filter on photoshop and just alter the strength of it and that’s that.. But I have been adjusting the contrast, exposure and brightness and so on around lately. It‘s safe to say I get way to ahead of myself at times 😅👍

No worries, great that you're trying it out. I think it's just easier to keep the colouring the way it is in the source most times, if it really needs fixing then @mons will probably do that before adding it to the pack 👍

I appreciate the fact that you're experimenting with these functions with the aim of improving the final cut. It's what makes the difference to produce an excellent get and not everybody is so willing to go the extra mile tbh! However, it should only be done in cases where the original source isn't ideal, which isn't the case here.

Frankly, I have no idea what the basic summer filter is on Photoshop and I've never need to use it in all my years of cutting, and it's not really needed for this source. For the absolute majority of cuts, tweaking brightness is the most that is needed. Some may need a bit more work in terms of color balance etc., but in those cases best to leave it to me to tweak them, as @BramNUFC says. Generally speaking, however, less is more 🙂

It's not that they are bad cuts; far from it, they're quite good - but it's just that they would have been better with less filters/modifications 🙂

P.S. In sources like this where the head is tilted to one side, the final cut looks much better if you rotate the source before cropping it so that the head is perfectly upright, as demonstrated in this video 😉
