Surely managing Bayern in Germany and Barca in Spain is "easier" than Juve in Italy?!

It was quite obvious that he will say something like that sooner or later. I wonder where he will go after the Premier League. Can't see him managing in Italy so only really PSG is left.

Chocice, why don't you see him going to Italy? If anything I thought he would be off there next after Germany before recent developments!

Cheer up, the next holiday is on it's way, Easter eggs are in shops already!

January has to be the most miserable month of the lot. The back to work blues and crappy weather. February is short at least (and has my birthday in ) but before you know it, March has arrived with its co-op (not the chain store) bank holidays of Easter!

First day back at work of this year has definitely dragged though! Good job I can kill a few minutes towards the end of it here

Looks like Bale went the way of Michael Owen in your game, no legs left!

Crappy way to go out of the Europa League, but now to focus on getting in it again next season!

Possibly, although there's a reason he's gone to Bournemouth and no bigger clubs were interested.

Did really well at Verona but barely anything at Roma, technically good but not really effective at all. Hope he does well though.

True, but I don't think similar moulded "rejects" that have gone to Stoke in recent times have done too badly. Hoping Iturbe can do similar at Bournemouth.

How is Wenger underrated? Isn't he thought of as one of the best PL managers ever and maybe even the best Arsenal manager ever? I'd say he is. Also I love it when gooners bring up the "we've qualified for the CL 16 times in a row" thing like its some kind of amazing achievement

I imagine teams like Celtic and such have done similar?

Sounds like we're getting Isco.

Isco Would love to see him in the Prem. Not sure attacking midfielders is an area City need to be spending on, however!

Whilst of course I'm hopeful of a miracle, realistically I think we should start selling and releasing the big wages and deadwood (most of the squad) in this transfer window in order to allow us to rebuild for a serious push for immediate promotion back to the Prem next season. Hopefully Lerner can sell the club finally, hopefully the rest of the clowns on the board with him.

Such a sad state of affairs to see the Villa in such dire straights.

I was looking through the players on your books and you still have Senderos! Being payed to do bugger all as he isn't even in the 25 man squad! I guess he is best friends with Kozak who has done bugger all at the club since joining and breaking his leg? Joe Cole is on your wage bill, though plying his trade at League 1 Coventry City...must be the best payed player in that division? I could go on...Kieran Richardson for example. I didn't realise how many players Villa actually had! Majority of them are not Premier League quality and the reserves almost reads out like a list of players who had a brief spell in the spotlight and then faded into nothing. It's shocking. No wonder your owner is looking to sell, he's just watching his money go to a bunch of sofa warmers for upwards of £20k a week! Even I'd stay at home and watch Bargain Hunt for that kind of money. The title probably sums up Villa's transfer policy for the next (and past) few seasons too.

Looks like Leicester are beginning to slip now, funnily enough on the 40 point mark they will all so eager to get to. Wonder if repeating that mantra has had an effect psychologically. At the other end of the table, do even Villa fans think they're going to stay up?

What did he say? I stick with the Final Score lot on the BBC rather than the Sky news team on Saturdays (though it does occasionally mean having to put up with Chris Sutton).

A criminal report should be filed we played that badly today. Burton absolutely dominated us in the first half, then got a midfielder sent off in the 44th minute and if anything came out playing even better and got their well deserved goal and victory. I knew it was going to be tough today but we got annihilated by a team that played over half the game with less men on the pitch than us.

People "ITK" saying UEFA is well run; Platini probably been naive in his dealings with FIFA and Blatter.

Butland

Alderwerield---Smalling---Galloway

Cabaye

Mahrez---Coutinho---Ozil---Deulofeu

Vardy---Lukaku

I know you wanted 4-4-2 but I couldn't think of any defender that I wanted to include ahead of Cabaye/Coutinho who would have to be dropped. Maybe Fuchs!

Spurs get a chance for revenge, drawing Fiorentina for the second season in a row in the the round of 32!

Klopp returns to Germany...surely Liverpool will edge that tie.

United will be a lot closer than it should be.

How come when clubs do all that shit that Liverpool did with their fans in Germany it's awesome and people wish English football was more like that and then as soon as it happens in England its embarrassing and cringy?

I think it is embarrassing and cringey wherever it's done. At this time of the year it completes the panto feeling that Liverpool performances have.

I'm sure Rooney will enjoy his holiday in France. Plenty of nice grass for him to graze on whilst the team plays around him. Wales to nick 2nd! (obviously England top of the group before a disappointing defeat on penalties in the first knock out round).
