@LBOW6 @Footygamer It would be nice to be able to set a Secondary Job to a person. Like in the editor on this non_player, I could set Set Piece Coach as Job, and Coach First Team as Secondary Job, but that's not an option in this. I just set him currently to his Primary Job, because there's no alternative on the Data Update Edit Page.

@Footygamer I've tried twice to get rid of ‘Loan Start Date’ from this player, but the system won't let me remove it?

@Diogo Esberard This is going to be stuck pending (and probably edited because he still hasn't joined yet) until it is confirmed by a reputable source. Most likely by the club itself through their social media.

Transfermarkt isn't updated yet, but http://www.90minut.pl/kariera.php?id=43074 backs this up.

I've reverted as many Albian transfers as I can find that I've done, and I'm going to leave it at that. Clearly there are people better suited to Albanian Transfers.

The only source a lot of us staff have access to is transfermarkt, so I don't know which ones might be incorrect. If you find any that are incorrect, just issue a correction.

@phucp174 Please submit this once his current loan at Torreense is over (so, on July 1st). Your edit would override his current loan regardless of the fact it was set to begin on July 1st.

On any club's team page which lists their players, e.g: https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/team/676 - Can you do this? Add three other things below the player name and after the Unique ID, separated by vertical bars? Where X is Person Type, Y is Contract Role and Z is Contract Type? For National Team Pages, X can be Person Type, Y can be National Team Role, and Z isn't required.

I've noticed that Adrian often retires in people's saves within the first two years, often without becoming a staff member: This prevents that.

I think my thoughts on it not being up to date with 24.4 were based on me searching for Yunnan Yukun and it bringing up the old, extinct club, but that was fixed when I actually put the Unique ID in. But its awesome that the extinct team thing has been fixed.,

@vincentwarnar Wait until his move to a club is confirmed via their social media or website, then instead of changing his contract expiry date, set a Future Transfer to them on 1/7/2024 as First Team Manager, no expiry date (unless its confirmed by the club or a reputable source).

@vincentwarnar You'll have to resubmit that edit with his role also changed from Director of Football to Technical Director for it to be accepted. I would do it, but I feel like its then taking your submission away.

The fix, I'd suggest is to specifically check when the player is still at the same club, but has their “Date Contract Starts” or “Date Contract Expires” cleared. This could create a description of “[PLAYER] now has a contract with no start date.” or “[PLAYER] now has a contract with no expiry date.” It would also make sense to state when the contract type has changed, and add a line like “[PLAYER] is now on a [CONTRACT TYPE] contract.” – It would make sense to track that, so if a player goes to a club on the wrong contract type, its easier to notice as a staff member.

This is something interesting. LA Galaxy II, for example, is extinct, but they apparently have players in. I'll deal with these through their sources or finding them, but do you know if this is a commonplace thing in FM? For Extinct Clubs to still have players at them? Actually, in FM, they're not set as Extinct? I'm very confused.

The problem I see is more historically it's causing an issue. Like, for example, with SI Missed, there was a bunch of edits where you were trying to move players from LFA Reggio Calabria to Reggina, all of those I had to disable because Reggina is the extinct club. If somebody types a club name in and gets more than one result, there's a risk of them selecting the wrong club to move players to, and sometimes that might be missed. Especially if their two club names and club logos roughly line up on a source like transfermarkt and their name is recognisable to the person making the edit, could be easy to make an edit and not know you're making a mistake. I checked the FM23 and FM24 Editor: In FM23, there's 26,012 Extinct Clubs; In FM24, there's 26,580 Extinct clubs, so in a single year, 568 clubs have ceased to exist… But my worry is more the amount of clubs that have vaguely similar names where somebody could reasonably accidentally send a player to the wrong club, it might not be noticed soon enough and end up in a daily update (E.g: Montréal Impact and Club de Foot Montréal; Reggina 1914 and LFA Reggio Calabria; AFC Tubize and RU Tubize-Braine; WSC Hertha Wels and SPG Wels (WSC Hertha Wels/FC Wels)). IMO, disabling searching for extinct clubs within the Edit Page (but not Browse), would protect against that.

@Footygamer Awesome. I'll check it out in the morning! I also have a question for you, and I'd like your opinion on it. Would it make sense, in specifically the ‘Team Contracted To’, ‘Loan to Team’ and ‘Future Club’ Fields (but not the Browse Search), to blacklist Extinct Clubs from being searched for? I ask this, because sorting through all those SI Missed items, there was a good couple dozen transfers where the club listed was the incorrect club because they'd likely searched wrong, found a club's previous club (which more often than not still has the same logo), so if that was enabled, the player would likely not exist in the game as I believe players at Extinct Clubs are intentionally not loaded.

@Footygamer Would it be possible for you to edit the Edit Page, so in the "Team Contracted To" field, where there's the darker grey box on the far side, next to box you type: Instead of just having the Unique ID, have it span two rows. With the Unique ID on the first row, and the Status of the club below it (Professional, Semi Professional, Amateur, Always Amateur, Unknown, etc.)? A big thing that saps up time in me making new transfers which aren't loans or movements to free agency, is that I need to go into the Football Manager 2024 Editor, search for the club and check this, as that determines what type of contract the player will be on after moving. I.e: You don't want a player moving to an Amateur Club, on a Full-Time Contract. 

Anyway, I've moved them over to that club. Might've been because I was literally searching for Yunnan Yukun.

E.g: https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/team/2000136364 is now extinct. They've been replaced with Yunnan Yukun (2000319417). Has that been updated recently? …Because a few days ago, I couldn't find that club.

@adriano roberto You might be waiting a while to get that confirmed. I can't access your source, likely because they're one of the many websites blocking traffic from the EU / Europe, instead of implementing the GDPR. 

@adriano roberto I spent way too long laughing that a player with the surname, “Mucuri”, was at a club called, “Murici”, which is only 1 letter out (and slightly in the wrong order) from spelling his own surname. Shame he wasn't Rodrigo Murici!

@Footygamer I've found two very specific website design issues, thought I'd bring them to your attention. They all probably have very simple fixes…

1. On Chrome (possibly also Opera), at zoom levels of 125%+: The “Top Bar” (including the little grey bar below it) is above everything, including the browser's scroll bar. The Scroll bar should take preference above everything else, so hopefully you can change this.
2. There is also an issue with the small grey bar that is part of the Top Bar, sometimes its invisible, but when its invisible, it still takes the cursor's click and doesn't pass it through. So, if there's a link within that area of the screen (from behind) and you click on it while the grey bar is invisible, it either does nothing, or takes it to a link featured in that grey bar, despite the fact its invisible at the time.
