Yeah. It happened with the last hot fix. Reinstalling the game fixed the issue.
With the new hot fix, reinstalling doesn't seem to be working.

relegation is a āreal threatā if you think 2 of the (former) bottom 4 are going to have a massive uptick in form over the rest of the season. Everton were 8pts clear prior to the deduction. And thatās assuming the deduction doesnāt get reduced On appeal.

I didnāt say they donāt have the right to sue if they want to. But theyād have to prove direct causation of their loss. Which they will struggle to do since the committee stated that Everton gained no sporting advantage, and did not intentionally breach the threshold.

Good luck proving that their loss was down to an overspend of <Ā£5m a season, which only happened due to building a new stadium, when the commission has already said there was no sporting advantage.

I'll certainly be curious to see what happens with City and Chelsea (don't think there's really any whispers of Wolves facing any charges).
So far as Everton are concerned I'd imagine there'll be a significant reduction in the (frankly ridiculous) deduction on appeal.
Only positive is that the bottom 3 or 4 (before the deduction) are so bad that survival is still very much attainable.
Atmosphere vs Utd next weekend will be a sight to behold.

Out of curiosity, why didn't you include an option of ācontinuing to make FMM as a standalone product is no longer financially viableā as this is probably the actual answer.

This simply isn't borne out by any facts or data. Pretty much every version of the game outsells the last.
And indeed the last two parts of your post contradict each other. If it was solely about business (which, being realistic, is what both SI and Sega are) they would have no interest in simply maintaining a user base, they'd grow it as much as possible as fast as possible. They'd probably also add in all sorts of features that go against the ethos of FM (I'm thinking designing stadia, setting merchandise prices, choosing kits etcā¦ things that get asked for EVERY year, but have nothing to do with management). They'd also likely have dived into microtransactions way, WAY more than they have done.
SI have definitely made mistakes - Miles even says as much in the blog, but I don't think most of the criticisms you've made there are valid.

Once you've found the number for the image you're trying to change (not the UID), copy ALL the lines of the Regen UID finder config file (NB, just the lines relating to individual files, don't need all the extraneous xml stuff) and paste them into Excel (so you'll have a single column a few thousand entries long).
Then in the second column paste the following:
=MID((LEFT(A1,FIND("t",A1)-1)),FIND("""",(LEFT(A1,FIND("t",A1)-1)))+1,FIND("""",(LEFT(A1,FIND("t",A1)-1)),FIND("""",(LEFT(A1,FIND("t",A1)-1)))+1)-FIND("""",(LEFT(A1,FIND("t",A1)-1)))-1)
This should extract from the full string just the image number. Then you can turn the data into a table and easily filter by this value to get all iterations of that specific image being used in the game without having to trawl through.
