sorry for so many posts on the same topic; all fixed now. Redownloaded the entire pack and extracted using winrar and it worked. Thanks for your patience.

It probably just means you do not have winrar installed. Is that the case?

Thanks for your quick reply. I actually decided to download the whole pack again (not using a torrent) and got an error message saying cannot open .rar file as archive. Does this mean a botched installation?

Hi there, sorry to hear you're having trouble. As you're a previous user, I'm going to assume that you've not made a mess of the installation.

It's very easy to see if you are missing the config file. Open your megapack folder and sort the files alphabetically. Go to the bottom of the list, and there should be a file named config.xml. If there isn't, wait a few days until I release 8.02 and you can add the new images and use that config file. The torrent is safe, I created it myself and haven't had a problem in the past years with it - but if it's just the config you're missing, then it's not worth re-downloading the whole thing all over again.

I'm a premium member and this is the first FM version where I just cannot get the faces to load in my game. I've even tried simply copying the entire FM15 graphics folder over to my FM16 docs but it still doesn't work. Logos, kits, trophies etc are all fine. I'm using Win 8.1. Could I be missing this config file? If so how do I get it? Should I just download the entire pack again although it would take forever unless I use a torrent which I've never done before. I'm slightly wary downloading one of these as it might not be safe....

Anyhow any advice would be greatly appreciated. You can take it as read that I am familiar with how to tick and untick the relevant boxes etc in Preferences.
