Skin is brilliant thanks! Also happy with my new larger list of bookmarks due to your help!

I'm unsure as to what the coloured sections on the match replay time line represent (red sections in first half, grey sections in second half on top of screenshot). I'm sure I'm missing something completely obvious here…but I can't work it out… (I have not customised the match stats section so all is as default).

 

That's part of the default game.  When watching highlights that top bar shows all the moments that are highlights.  The different colours.  No idea.  Although I'd guess first half/second half

I tried this and realized I am not technologically inclined enough to do this, if it is possible for you to attach the file separately I would be forever grateful, but if not then I understand and still thank you for telling me what I need to remove.

 

Open the file in a text editor like notepad.  Find that section (it's really near the beginning).  Delete it.  Save.  Reload skin.

at the moment i can not use this skin, because the aesthetical background packs not working with the skin… is it possible to allow the backgrounds to be the stadium packs?? I would love to test this out, but the one color backgrounds kill me.

 

You can remove the solid background by removing the following section from panels/client_object/client object browser.xml:

hi im having a similar issue to another user were the tactics screen does not shot the role or the player namein the position aswell as the tactic mentality text not visable.

my resolution is 3440x1440 and my windows and FM scalling are both set to 100%.

 

I'm afraid to say that I've been unable to replicate this - I do not have a monitor at 3440x1440, and tests performed at the same ratio - for example, 2150x900 - have not seen this issue occur.  If I can't replicate it, I unfortunately can't begin to fix it.  Sorry.

Thank you for this skin which is ideal for my play style. I used to play the Out of the Park Baseball series a lot and always opted for stats-only setups. 

 

A minor request/question: is there a way I could edit the skin so that the Bookmarks panel (when accessed from your bookmark icon) expands to show all of the bookmarks contained? At present, it is fixed so that after adding more than about 7 lines the rest are cutoff. I located the Bookmarks.xml but cannot see a way to do this - not helping is that I have zero experience in this area!

 

Alternatively,  I can of course go to bookmarks via the World icon with an extra click and that screen shows them all but being lazy I'm trying to save myself that extra click!

This is a great skin, but a deal breaker for me is that every club, player, nation and staff has the same colours in their title bars. Like this:

 

 

It's jarring seeing the City badge surrounded by red. I'd like the players and clubs to display their own colours like the way FM games do. Is there anyway I can modify the skin to do this?

 

I assume you're the gentleman on the SI Forums, too.  There is no “club colours” scheme, as covered in the video this causes inellgible clashes with certain teams (looking at you Augsburg) but there is a suite of different schemes packaged with the skin and instructions for changing them in the FAQs

Thanks for getting back to me with this @gimn85 - I appreciate you taking the time to reply.

 

I've had a fiddle around with the file and lines you mention (as well as some others), but I've come to the conclusion that it's not possible, certainly not with my extremely limited knowledge of the game's construction! It appears terms like “pval”, “Pdva” and “valu” directly reference player values, but whatever source they draw from they all appear to be the abbreviated version (ie £1M, not £1,000,000). It may have something to do with the fact that values appear as a range these days, rather than a specified value (though even when I give a player an “asking price” I can still only get the value to appear as an abbreviated number).

As I say, I'm not sure it's possible to do it without delving deeper and changing the source formats that terms like the 3 mentioned above draw their information from.

 

Thanks again for giving the suggestion - it was worth a try!

 

Might also be worth checking game preferences.  See if it's a format setting (like how you can change separators or how negative values are displayed).

I love everything about this skin and will be starting a new save (Dundee United) with it imminently.

 

I have a couple of questions, if I may:

 

Firstly, what do you recommend as the optimal scaling percentage for your skin?

 

Secondly, and this is finicky and OCD of me I admit. In (much)older versions of the game, player values were displayed in full, rather than shortened, numbers. Is there any way of making this the case within your skin (changes in text files, etc?).

Essentially, if a player is valued at £29M, is there a way of it displaying as “£29,000,000” as opposed to “£29M”?
In the same way that, for example, Erling Haaland's wage displays as "£625,000" p/w in your skin, rather than "£625K" p/w

As with everything, 100% Windows Zoom and 100% FM Zoom is recommended.  The skin is built to work from 1360x768 upwards.  At lower resolutions some screens, such as the homepage, will have a different layout - but priority has been given in the design to ensure that all information is present at any resolution.

 

To change the player value, you will have to play around with the transfer_value_label at line 209 in panels/player/player overview panel.xml.  It may be that you need to change the class, id, or the format settings at line 213.  If you have found another skin with it displayed as you want, that should be a good reference point.  Otherwise, trial and error.

How would you change the tactic screen to include player faces? Replaced the old file with Material Skin tactics icon info panel but it is only showing the jersey and no faces.

No idea.  That's the file, so it's something to do with what is different between Material Skin and this one.

Thank you for your reply. I wasn't clear enough. The attribute ranges are fine, I mean they are all a different shade of blue now, I wish they were 1-5 red, 6-10 orange, 11-15 yellow, 16-20 green. Is it possible without touching the rest of colours?

However, I will keep this indication of yours in mind for when I play in the major leagues, where 1-8 is more or less the same.

 

The bit where I said “instead of changing the ranges, change the colours defined”.  That's what you want to do.  In those files.

Hi Gimn and thanks for the best thing ever happened to FM in many years. Is there the possibility of changing only the color of the 4 dots that indicate the skills, without changing the color of the pizza graph?

Also, is it normal not to see any parameters on the pizza graph before the start of the season? I imported the database updated to October 2024

 

If games haven't been played, there is no performance data to display.

 

To change the colour of just the attributes.  Follow this, but instead of changing the ranges, change the colours defined.

 

How Do I Change Attribute Ranges?

Due to the way the skin works, you can’t change the ranges through preferences.  Instead you’ll have to use a text editor.  Inside the Mustermann Iconic/classes folder, you will need to change the values for all the files inside the attributes folder and the dna folder.  

 

In each file, you will need to edit the min_value and max_values to your desired ranges.  Let’s say for example, you wanted to increase the lowest range to 8, and then make the remaining bands be 4 attributes each.  You would set the first range from “1” to “8”, the second range would be “9” to “12”, the third range “13” to “16” and the final range “17” to “20”.  You would then need to repeat this for all the aforementioned files.  Once done, caching off, reload the skin.

I am looking to edit the below 2 pages  below so it shows the stadium for the fixture

can you point me where those panels are I cant find find the required panel 

would it be a matter of adding another column to the required table 

 

if there was something here to custom the details that would be superb

Neither of those panels have been edited, so I don't know the exact files.  Look through your extracted files in the competition folder.  To do what you want, I imagine it's the same as advised by Olas Nick on the SI Forums.

The folder for the skin you want should be in the skins directory, not the full extract.  Your skins folder should look like this (obviously without the Master version, and with whatever other skins you have downloaded):

Still, as from the very first version - the best skin there is. A true football manager game with it, too. 

I have two questions, if I may:

  1. Is there a screen where I can see in graphics a formation (maybe with played roles too) of a game I played earlier?
  2. Is there a panel showing manager's stats (wins, losses, percentage etc.) like I see when I go to my own profile?

  1. Not in graphics form, no.  The formation used will be detailed in the schedule page, but it is just text.
  2. There isn't.  Like with the default skin, you can see win percentage by going History → Overview, or you can see it for the club they are currently at by going to the Club Overview and then History → Managers

Hey! First of all, wanna to let you know that the skin is absolutely amazing, I am loving it!

However, i ran into a bit of an annoyance. For some players, the pizza graph gets a little buggy, and it is weird because it only happens with specific players in specific filters (for instance, alisson when filtering for DMs, as in the picture).

I messed a bit with the attributes thresholds and tought I have made some mistake. So I redownloaded the skin, but the issue is still here. I'm playing on a 1080p monitor in 95% zoom.

This is a minor inconvinience, cause when this happens, I can just switch to bar view and it works fine, but if there is a simple solution, I would love it!

fantastic skin, there is a small suggestion, can you make a display of the data of the past few years in the data column, cuz when the new season begin, there is no data, all the data information is blank

 

I can't.  The information isn't stored by the game, so it can't be displayed.  You need to keep a save point before the new season starts.

If I get time to, yes.  That is a big if at the moment.  There aren't any big changes planned either.  Most are small tweaks here and there.

Just to add here.  Sure, A.Salah91 has made an error of judgement, but it's not beyond salvation.  He has a chance to reach out and learn from his mistakes, and hopefully continue to refine his skills.  Insulting other skins just because they aren't to your taste, is just as ridiculous as claiming something is the “best ever” because it is to your taste.

 

I know I'm just repeating myself here, but the community is better when it lifts each other up, and encouraging variety is a huge part of this.  Just because something isn't what you wanted, don't start discouraging people, because it may be what someone else wants.  Regardless of various missteps, people put in their free time to do this, and the more people who are willing to contribute constructively, the better we all are for it.

Amazing skin, I love it. One request or perhaps some direction on how to do it. 

Is there a way to customise the pizza charts so that the stats change and are reflective of the position you are choosing to compare against. Tackling and Interceptions for example for my defensive positions

 

No there isn't, and I decided to use the same metrics across all positions in keeping with the SmarterScout Pizza Scouts they are based upon.

I'll add my two cents.  Not that anyone asked.  If you respect the people you are taking from, then the absolute minimum should be that you ask them first.  It's not hard.  Most of them have profiles on whichever site they downloaded the skin from.  You might even find that they are quite helpful with other queries.  Whether that is bits of code you don't understand how to modify, or identifying the source of something else.

 

The community is better when they are lifting each other up.  Skinning is not a competition.  You provide something, and hopefully someone else likes it.  If they don't like it, you hope that the end user finds something more akin to what they wanted.  That's why I personally don't just credit.  I explicitly explain why people are credited, and then within the skin itself, each thing that has been inspired by someone else is really clearly marked.  Now, I don't get to dictate what other people think is reasonable in this regard.  My standards are my standards alone.  But, showing others in the community respect is always a good starting point.

 

Without it, I wouldn't have had conversations with others that have helped to develop my own ideas.  Without it, I wouldn't have been able to find solutions to problems along the way.  Without it, I would've made fewer friends.  First impressions matter.

It could still remain Attributeless but just give a ‘hidden’ option to those who love the skin but would ‘also’ like to see the attributes in numeric value under the hood. Then the skin would be perfect but, as it is, it is too niche for most players.  There is a work around in the preferences that can trick the skin into showing the numerical attributes, but i won't reveal this here out of respect to the developer for his outstanding work.

 

No one's going to stop you from revealing your work around.  I'm assuming it is by using v1.0 and seeing the landing page as attributes?

 

And yes, it is niche.  It is for a specific play style.  Vegan restaurants are also niche.  But if I went into one and said “you should make this with meat”, I'd be an a**hole.

Hey,

first of all - sorry for my bad english. I tried the Mustermann Iconic 1.1 Skin. Thank you for your work!

 

I was scrolling through a few pages and everything worked fine. Now I changed back to the normal FM skin and no more attributes are showing in the staff search (See picture below, in german). If I click into the person the attributes show up normally.

I already did the Reset of all graphic preferences, but this changed nothing. This problem now occurs in every (!) savegame i load up… What should I do? I am quite lost right now. :'D

A late response, but you just need to close the game and start again (same process required when loading Mustermann Iconic for the first time, too) as the properties file is only loaded on boot up.

Had my doubts at first but honestly this style of play is so much more fun. I've seen myself lean more on my staff than I ever have had. Great work, you have made a converter out of me.

There is one thing I have noticed though - when praising the player's training using the Individual > Detailed > Select Multiples the thumbs up and thumbs down do not disappear after praising so I can pretty much keep praising player repeatedly. 

 

Would you be able to send me the save file (upload to Mediafire or somewhere and send me the link)?  I've had someone else mention this, but when I've checked on my own saves, I'm unable to replicate the issue.

I'm loving this skin even though I must miss 90% of its goodness due to being new to the stat world, however on my save I never seem to have any post match, on the overview panel, data, see below:
 

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I have all the analysts I can get and this is the only bit on the skin that isn't working as it should. Help?

 

You see the little up arrow next to the name of each statistic.  Click on it to sort it descending (e.g. highest value first)

Hey, it's me again! Still only using your skin. Sometimes I swap in and out just to see some stats, but I'm realizing that if I wasn't basing my decisions off of the information in this skin… I probably wouldn't have bought, let alone start most of the people that have been doing well for me. I'm in the Premier League right now with Bristol City and made some signings I would have never made just by looking at their attributes and they've all been doing a solid job for me! 

Now, let's get to my questions 🙂 

  1. Kind of a silly question, but the possession lost section. Is it the more filled it is the more often the player loses possession, or do you want this to be big? The higher the less possession loss

2) Like many of us, when scouting for wonderkids, the Pizza chart doesn't fill up, because I assume they don't play for the starting 11. So what would you base your decision on whether this kid is good or not? The little attribute bars at the bottom? I do use the little attribute bar bottom right too, but I've been noticing that if a player doesn't play, the pizza chart doesn't have data to pull from correct? Even if I fully scout the player?

  1.  The bigger the slice, the better the player is at that action.  For possession lost, this mean they lose possession less frequently.  So the smaller the number, the bigger the bar will be.
  2. Yes, unfortunately statistical analysis isn't available for non-senior games.  It's weird because you can view the stats from a youth competition page, but if you go into a youth player and try to get for example, one of the data hub reports, they're not available either.  In a weird way, I kind of like this - because at a youth level there is often such a great disparity in talent, that the stats might actually be misleading.  That said, personally, I use the DNA attributes to make my judgement.  Is the player competent in the areas that I prioritise, and then do they have potential to grow (is there a big difference between current ability rating and potential ability rating according to my scout)

You'd need to copy over the match/in between highlights panel.xml along with the touchline tablet panel.xml.

 

In the touchline tablet panel.xml - you'll see the other files it references, you'll need to copy those, too.  And any panels those panels then reference.  You will probably also need the classes/mustermann_tabbed along with the graphics it references.

May I ask how you removed/disabled the players overview > attributes page? I've wanted to do that on other skins.

You need to edit [skin name]/sections/person sections.xml, changing <record id="Pply" /> to <!--<record id="Pply" />-->.

 

Most skins, however, won't have that file in them.  You'll need to extract it using the Resource Archiver.
