Hi guys, I wanted to purchase FM20 through sortitoutsi, but I wanted to ask, if we purchased through your website, would that version of the game come pre-loaded with face and kitpacks? For some reason, I seem to recall this was a feature in past versions of FM, but maybe I'm mistaken. Can anyone clarify?

I do not represent Sortitoutsi officially, but I'm a long time member and haven't eveer heard of that (pre-loaded graphics etc. additions) being the case. However it is free for you to download and use any of the graphical, database etc. community-made additions on your game, whether you buy it through this site or not.

Having said that, it is my understanding that buying the game through Sortitoutsi would indeed benefit the website, so it would work as a way to support it if you so wish.

That's actually a good question. I did wonder about that earlier when I downloaded and installed the new EPL 1-2 patches. It seems that those packs only contain updated video adboards and no static adboards (no pictures).

Yet when rabcp added a comment for each EPL club that they had finished for the 19-20 updates, each team has a collage picture of club-related adboards that might be static or video boards. In theory, if those pictures in the comments were saved and dissected apart, they might be just the right size to be put in place of the older static adboards of season 18-19, maybe? But if that was the case, then surely rabcp would've added the updated static adboards into the latest EPL packs as ready-made graphics as well..?

Thanks for the instructions. Do you have to make the code changes to stop bidstack ads per the instructions on page 1 of the thread in FM20?

I'm not sure whether it's required, but I have done it just in case and have not had any Bidstock issues yet.

These adboards work both for FM 19 and FM 2020.

Most of the adboards are from last season (18-19) but the English Premier League ones are 19-20.
You need to install all the packs listed in the same order they were made available, i.e. from top to bottom:
V1.0 - Download
V1.1 - Download
V1.2 - Download
EPL Part 1 - Download
EPL Part 2 - Download

(It's important to install each pack on top of the previous ones to ensure that the adboard graphics, videos and config files work as intended when some older files are overwritten with newer versions.)

Hi, I am currently in my 4th season with Sunderland AFC on FM19 and enjoying it but one thing that bugs me is having to use the same kits every season unlike real life. One of my favourite ever kits is the Atletico Madrid home and iconic yellow away kit from the 13/14 season. So I was wondering if its possible for someone else to edit those kits to have the Sunderland badge on instead of Atletico and make it show up in game too on the 3D engine. If someone could do this for me or point me in the right direction I would be so grateful, I don't even know if this is possible but any help would be great, thanks.

I think you mean 3D kits. These here are the ss (short sleeve) kits that show up on the club overview page and some other places in the game. 3D kits are the ones that make the correct kit details show up in the match engine.

Please pardon my ignorance here. I haven't used an adboard mod before. Is this patch only usable for FM19 or can I use it on FM20 with the instructions above? Or should I just wait for an FM20 mod to come out. Thanks for all the hard work as this looks to make the game really cool.

You can apply it to FM 2020 the same way as FM 19.

Well spotted and thanks for the heads-up As you can imagine, that file was added in today's update to reflect the end of Chelsea's transfer embargo as per the CAS decision a few days ago. I've released a new version of the file, which includes that file for users who are only now downloading this fix. The only other change is a couple of very minor Serbian/Montenegrin club name changes, so there is no real need for anyone to re-download this unless they're as extremely pedantic about things as I am

So am I.

There was a patch for FM 2020 today and I was just about to do what I always do after new patches - re-install the files from your wonderful Real Name Fix, when I noticed a new file that had been added into \data\database\db\2010\dbc\ named "chelsea embargo.dbc".

Now, I'm quessing this patch doesn't require a whole new version of Real Names Fix to be created, right..? But I'm unsure what to do with the forementioned new file. Should I copy it amongst the files in the Real Names Fix version \dbc\ folder or just completely remove the \dbc\, \edt\ and \lnc\ folders and replace them with the newest version (v1.2) Real Name Fix folders without adding in the chelsea embargo.dbc?

Hopefully I managed to explain my issue in a somewhat coherent way...

I reckon so. Probably makes them adapt better to your tactical plans and changes in a match. Also it should make the AI managers plan ahead better and patiently nurture and develop their youth talent in a more realistic way instead of just offloading them as "not good enough - yet".
That is what the description says and that's what I'm hoping. I haven't tested it myself yet.

I felt some clubs had very over-ambitious visions during Beta. Kept me from starting a save with many sides because I felt I'd be unfairly judged and couldn't hold down the job, barring a miracle. When my relegation-threatened club want pretty football, possession-style play and a playoff spot finish - minimum - I don't feel like I'm at the helm at the underdog team that I should be.

Let's hope those issues - or those "quirky phenomena" are in the past now that the full version is out.

I do have one problem with the dark Flut skin (version 1.4), though. I've tried to edit a gradiant layer with moderate opacity for the player history screens, because many of them end up unreadable with the background pictures showing with 100% opacity.

For some reason I cannot make any change to it even when I edit the line <container class="titled_box" id="phit" appearance="boxes/subsection/standard/paper">
of the file \skins\fm2020flutskin_dark\panels\player\player history stats.xml.

Is there a way to add a new "default" stadium picture that is used for all stadiums that don't have a specified picture in the pack? Right now visiting the page of a club with no stadium picture looks really ugly.

I've found the following solution that was in a years old stadium background pack:

There was a picture named "default.png" in the pack and this line in the config made it show up for every stadium that didn't have their own picture assigned:

I've been testing the Fixture Generator and used it to create the Scottish Premiership Fixture & Result list. I was wondering about postponed matches in-between the completed matches. The program told me there were few errors ( "wrong scores" ) here and there in the list, but it did allow me to save the file. Will this thing work, though?
Is the FM 20 pre-game editor going to accept this fixture list and is the game going to move the postponed matches for a later date or do I have to do that myself while still in the pre-game editor?

In Spain Tercera Grupo 3 there are kit files for R.S. Gimnástica de Torrelavega (ID: 109011) but they are not in the config file so they don't show up in game.

In Spain Tercera Grupo 6 there is no away kit file for C.D. Olímpic Xátiva (ID: 67019708) but it is mentioned in the config file.

In Spain Tercera Grupo 1 there is a mistake in the name of a kit file, it is "rapido1b" but should be "rapido1".

Ok, this next one is a very odd problem:
(Absolutely none of the kits in the Spain Tercera Grupo 16 and 17 folder are working. Took me a long time to figure out why.Seems to be because you use the special Spanish n letter in one of the names, at least so i thought. Then i realized that in the Grupo 18 folder there is also this strange n present but that one seems to work even with it. Maybe i just had some weird glitch in the matrix or my kits didn't load properly the first time but once i changed the weird n in the 16 and 17 folder they started working fine. So...no idea. Are kits in 16 and 17 working for other people?)

Also, there are these two separate pairs of lines for Torina in Grupo 3 config.xml, both with different UID's:

(THIS is the WRONG UID for Torina. It actually uses the UID number of Santillana from this division: Spanish Regional Preferente Cantabria. I cannot find the kit pictures of theirs in the pack though...)

Also, isn't it funny how some might say Spurs haven't been that succesfull under Pochettino? Only one side at a given time can collect the silverware, but whether you are second or fift in line, does matter a lot. For the fans who follow their team through thick and thin, Spurs have clearly been on the up these last few years and the team has been able to upgrade their profile in the eyes of "outsiders" which is no mean feat.

To me, being within touching distance from silverware, is the closest you can get to give yourselves a shot at winning it. I bet lots of teams would like to get into a CL final, and when Tottenham got there "they lost the final, so it was a failure".

It's a matter of perspective really, and a steady climb in the right direction is much better than a risky effort to dash and jump for to the summit. That's what I'm vary about with the appointment of Mourinho. And I'm not even a Spurs fan. But I have been admiring their sensible approach to gradual improvement and re-building and the positive club culture that has been the result of it. Hopefully that culture will not be dented in the near future. And hopefully Mourinho can actually prove his doubters wrong and show that he's done some self-reflection and renewed his way of managing a football club.

I can't see much sense in the hiring of Mourinho, unless Levy has suddenly changed his principals and is willing to sacrifice long-term stability and sensible financial planning for a shot at (possible, not in any way guaranteed) some sort of brief spiked spell of success within the next couple of years.
Also, why would the board/owners/Levy deny their long-term manager with a steady vision (Poch) the financial backing he asks for refreshing the team to keep it hungry, inspired and competitive - and now hire a new guy who is sure to expect allowance for big money moves to reshape the very core of the squad?

Before I go and buy the FM 2020 in-game Editor, id appreciate if someone could confirm whether it can be used to add a third kit to a club with only two kits, home and away, by default?

I tried another editor during Beta and, to my surprise, I couldn't create Watford a third kit because the club had two kits by default. Had there been three kits, it would've been possible to edit any one of them...

When the sacking didn't happen right at the beginning of the international break, I thought it wouldn't happen until after the next one or two matches, at the earliest. Seems I was wrong. The timing was surprising indeed.
