I believe they are compatible with each other, so you should be fine.

Apologies for the late reply.

 

I would love to release a new version of TCH for FM26 - one file covering all international and continental competitions in both men's and women's football.

 

Unfortunately, there is a huge problem with FM26. As far as I can tell, there is no way to view historic cup results for clubs or nations. I don't even know if the new game is still recording historic cup results in the same way.

 

Essentially, until this data becomes easily accessible again on FM26, there is basically no point in remaking TCH for FM26.

 

Frankly, given the direction the series seems to be going in, it's quite possible that TCH 24 could be the final version of this file. For me, historic data like this is very important to my sense of immersion in an FM save - but the UI/UX makes it very difficult to immerse myself into FM26. It really does feel like SI have lost sense of what their hardcore (or, dare I say, nerdier) players love most about FM, and that is seriously worrying.

When I first implmented your files a lot of the trophies just did not show up in the game hence the need for the names instead of numbers plus some spelling changes etc (to be expected with such a large hand made config)
Youy say you did not create any comps but as far as I am aware the pre season comps you have included, Audi cup etc are not in the official database (could be wrong though) , I add these comps through add ons myself and create configs for logos, trophies and backgrounds using this same method.

Noit sure about the clubs, never tried but I know some things do not work using this method.

 

Oh no, I haven't included any pre-season competitions - or indeed any competitions that aren't already in the database. The Amsterdam Tournament, Audi Cup, etc aren't in my files at all.

Just A little tip my friend, if you name your competitons in the config instead of numbers  (which can change) there will be no need to keep changing id numbers etc
I have gone through some of your original config file and changed them, as long as you get the corect spelling etc when you name them in the config all works superbly.
Adding special character as you have done does make it  a little harder so would be better not using these if possibe when naming comps in the editor, having said that onlyneeded to copy and paste your original naming so was not a big issue.


I have done this for years myself with pre season comps so did it with your file also, not done all your config only a small part of it (depending on what team is was managing.

Keep up the good work, great project you have here.

I haven't created any competitions in the editor - just used the default ones, and the IDs don't often change much as far as I'm aware.

 

But I do appreciate the tip. I was wondering if this “names instead of numbers” tip could work for clubs, and not just for competitions. It could be very useful for the extinct clubs that I've created in the editor, because their IDs will vary across databases and games.

No. This is essentially the same as those files, just updated with more data.

 

If you already have ITCH, ETCH and ATCH, I would advise you delete or unsubscribe from those files, otherwise you will get duplicated histories.
