If you change the preferences as per the screenshot in the first post, does the issue still manifest itself?

I downloaded the face pack and now whenever I click on certain things (e.g Martin Laursen's profile) the game freezes. If I wait 5 minutes or so it resumes again. I then took the face pack out the game and it continues to do it. Any ideas what's happened and how I fix it?
