@Footygamer Would like to know if it's technically possible to moderate a whole pack into ‘in megapack' status, would save a lot of time…

So, as I was trying to update some players backgrounds I came across a weird problem. Two players that I've checked seem to not change pictures. What I mean is that I've changed their pictures and they still have the old one. Another problem I came across is that I've put a pic for a player that doesn't have one and it won't appear. All of those things have been checked and they are correct in the config and the pictures are in place as well. I tried deleting the entries from the config and typing them again and nothing changed. If anyone has an idea on why is this occurring it would be really appreciated.
Can you post screenshots of your config file and background folder? Also sure you've reloaded skin?
Qvordrup
The most likely problem is the picture(s) that you are using. The game won't show pictures with capital letters in the file extension like .PNG or .JPG and another problem is that if you update your own pack with a .png (or any other file extensions) picture it won't replace your current picture. So if you want to replace pictures in your own pack make sure that the picture has lowercase letters in the file extension and that it is .jpg (it needs to overwrite the picture that is already in the pack to show).
And if you want to add pictures don't mess with the config that comes with the pack. Make a separate folder that has its own config in the folder and then just put it in the pack.
Nick Kotsonis
Yeap, it was my mistake there were double entries in the folder, although I'm pretty sure I replaced them so, I'm not so sure on how they were still there. Thanks for the reply, though. 🙂
Nick Kotsonis
Well you are correct the problem is indeed the capital letters (it is .JPG), the question is how do I make it with lowercase letters because I tried typing .jpg at the end and the problem is still there. Another method I just tried is that I opened a picture editing program, clicked save as .jpg and it was correct. When I put the pic in my folder it just went to capital letters again. Do I have to find another pic or is there any other method to try?
I think @mons knew how to do this easily
mons
@Nick Kotsonis, delete the old image with the filename in caps, then save the new image in the same location. What program are you using to edit your images?
Nick Kotsonis
I did it and it worked. Thank you for your help guys @mons @Qvordrup @BramNUFC. @mons Nothing special I'm no professional editor, I'm just using 3d painting from Windows to crop a pic if it's required. 😛 The trouble is the watermarks all the programs require payment to let you work. Anyway, thanks again for the assistance. 🙂
I recommend having a look at photopea.com then, it's basically a free version of photoshop and very easy to use, even if it's only cropping of pictures that you want to do 👍
Nick Kotsonis
I'll check it out, thanks. 👍
Footygamer
Sorry about that, this was an oversight, it should be possible now.
Thanks, I'll clear up all the pending packs now 👍

Hi Guys,
i only used the - team city backgrounds
- stadium backgrounds
- stadiums insides
but i can't see the stadium of Estudiantes De La Plata
Is it me did i do something wrong or is this just missing?
Alex3434
Can anyone help me figure out why I cant see the background pictures in game?
I get the correct stadium pics clicking through the different teams, but none of the backgrounds seem to be working? I am using flutskin dark.
I added logos, kits and player pics which are working just fine.
update:
It works now. I needed to tick on this box in game preferences:
Thanks for some great work.
Qvordrup
Use the browsing system to see what is in the pack: https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/browse/17
search for stadium by name or id (of stadium) 👍
Davke1904
Hi,
I think ive got a lot of problems with me skin!
When i switched with other skins that particular stadium appears again!
When i switch back the stadium disappears again and its a really shame
because i like the skin very much
Sometimes my homescreen panels change without me doing something
so i think the biggest problem is the skin and not the downloads i do8

I want to use only part of this megapack, namely the player backgrounds. I have a second pack that covers other aspects such as stadia and competitions (nothing against the SortItOutSI pack, just I prefer the other images).
Is there any way to just use the players part of the pack? I noticed that everything's in one big XML so I'm thinking it's not possible. :\
Qvordrup
It is possible to use only parts af the pack. There is a guide here : https://sortitoutsi.net/comments/get/651352

Hey guys,
anybody else have no picture of Benito Villamarin?
The stadium seems to have another ID like the picture in the background pack.
Thanks for your help.
Mulli2788
how do you install these?
Qvordrup
You download the full pack here : https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/17/download
and put it in the graphics folder where all your other add ons also are kits. logo, etc
Qvordrup
That is (as you have noticed) not the id the stadium have in default database (id=1053). So you must be playing with a custom database added in your editor data folder, that have changed the stadiums id by adding in a new stadium as “benito villamarin”. So this has got nothing to with the background pack 🤷♂
@Footygamer When I try to submit backgrounds for referees, it gives me this error:
Footygamer
I don't think we want backgrounds for referees? @Qvordrup
There are already a lot in the pack tho, and the submitting used to work fine
Qvordrup
Yes please 😀
Footygamer
I forget some of the conversations we've had an decisions we've made sometimes 😅
Footygamer
You can submit officials again now

@Humberto21 and @BramNUFC Lets continue the discussion on resolutions here 👍
is it a mistake or have the dimensions of stadiums (inside) and city changed? by @Humberto21
answer: It is not a mistake, we have changed the resolutions for both “stadiums inside” and “city pictures”
Hi, is the new image resizing official and "definitive"? Specifically, Stadium inside 1200x720 and Team City Background 1200x600?
Wouldn't it be better to have 1200x720 images of cities as well? by @Humberto21
answer: Noting is definitive, but we do not want to change the resolutions to often.
Well to begin with we changed both resolutions to 1200x600 (partially so it would be easy and so that we don't have to many different resolutions in the pack), but found out that a lot of skins is adapted to the dimensions of 800x480 for “inside stadiums” so we quickly change the resolution to fit the dimensions just bigger: 1200x720
I haven't found any reason for changing the new resolution for “city pictures” (1200x600), in fact I believe that if we where to change the resolution again we will move the “city pictures” to the same dimensions as the rest of the pack (1920x1080), meaning 1600x900 or 1200x675, because they also serves as full screen backgrounds.
So for now we are keeping the resolutions as they are unless someone can show us a screenshot where something is decidedly wrong.
I understand .. but I also hope that you have seriously considered the difficulties in finding images of those dimensions from countries where images are already difficult to find, let alone find them of such quality as to adapt to the new dimensions (cities & stadiums).
I have just collected images from Kosovo, but none (or almost) are of such quality that they can be resized with the new dimensions 😢 by @Humberto21
answer: I understand your concern 👍, but it is a balance… screens a getting bigger all the time and we want our pack to look great on big screens too. So I would recommend to just upscale your findings for Kosovo and as long as they are better than what is already in the pack they will be accepted, and then enjoy all the other stadiums and cities that will have a rather huge quality improvement with this change 😀.
I perfectly understand the benefits of increasing the size (and quality) of the images, it's just that, in my case, in recent years I often look for the images that are missing, often from lower divisions or, in any case, from small football realities where it is sometimes a miracle to find a "decent" image. In the megapack there are still many clubs that do not have images, and the reason is clear, it is difficult to find images, and even more good images of the stadiums, and sometimes even of the cities, but with patience and a little luck it is possible. I have been looking for images in Luxembourg lately, and thankfully uploaded them "before" the change so that everyone can benefit from it, but now that I have images from Kosovo and Cyprus (and tried my best to find decent images) I don't think so that it is worth "re-adapting" them to the new dimensions as the quality would lose a lot.
In conclusion, I am afraid that this "benefit" brought by the increase in size will only be enjoyed in a few leagues, most of the leagues that currently have no images will be condemned not to have any if the required size increases. I hope I have explained clearly, and I hope that you too have seriously thought about this problem. 👍

answer by @BramNUFC :
@Footygamer Wouldn't it be pretty easy to make multiple dimensions acceptable for a certain category? We could just take it on like the facepack, so for stadium inside pictures it would be preferable to make them in 1200x720, but when the source image is small/low quality, you're allowed to submit them in 800x480. Because otherwise we're going to be left with either a lot of unnecessarily blurry backgrounds, or simply the smaller nations staying empty forever, as there aren't any images available of decent quality
