@Footygamer my latest premium payment was in November 2023 - my premium status is showing as ACTIVE on my profile in the website - but when I go to download files it isn't reflecting the active premium status

I'm having issues with my membership. I've now been charged twice and my access to downloads still has not been restored. Who can I contact to address?

I manually marked your premium status as active, so there should be no problem with downloads anymore. With being charged twice, only the site owner can help you - @Footygamer.

Has anyone else had problems with purchasing a premium membership but then when you go to download the files it says you don't have one? I see my membership active in my shop orders.

Thanks @Qvordrup and sorry @Treble2222  I can't tell why this would have not activated the premium, i'm looking into it again.

I received a paypal receipt email about £10 for Sortitoutsi membership. I don't remember setting up the membership. It seems like I did in 2023. I do not remember setting it up though. And I can't really afford to have this subscription.

Anyone know how I can potentially get a refund?

Would I be able to get a refund on my premium subscription? Accidental purchase & isn't required. @Footygamer

Thanks

You've continued downloading loads of files AFTER asking for a refund???? So no we're not going to give a refund. You can't just buy it, use it, ask for a refund, continue using it, then get refunded, that doesn't make any sense.

Hi.

I Would like a refund as I don't use FM at all these days, plus with the delay until March there is no point me having the Subscription.

The pack wasn't downloaded. It was cancelled. The site was changed and in the dashboard it used to tell you if you were a premium member. I have had two account. As the premiere membership wasn't in the  dashboard I pressed download on the megapack expecting the mirror sign for non premium members. The download was cancelled and FM hasn't been played since June 2024.

I would ask kindly to please refund me my money. I do not use this service. Thank you kindly.

Thanks!

For info, I have just suspended my premium membership from the next due date.

This is 100% in protest at the layered premium options introduced asking for further monies for the proper data update files.

I'll resume membership when a proper data update, with updated attributes, is resumed

Apologies @snrsarg the intention was/is for classic fm to be a separate project, in 12 months time sortitoutsi will have totally transitioned to the new game and the new unity engine leaving the old stuff behind. It's too messy, both from a UI perspective and the extra work for moderators, to try and manage 20 “classic” versions and the new versions. We always leave older versions behind to focus on the new ones. That's why Classic FM was meant to exist as a stand alone project to manage that.

However setting up platforms to handle things like payments and downloads is complicated and takes time, (you definitely don't want to rush handling payments!) so in order to get the actual content out as fast as possible I wound up reusing all the sortitoutsi stuff and now the originally intended separation isn't there and it's a bit messy and unclear and people are understandably confused.

But to try and explain as clearly as possible the reason they're separate is because they're going to be separate projects, separate websites, separate server resources, separate people running it, separate everything.

When FM25 comes out with a totally different UI and engine we will need totally different data updates, totally different graphics, kits will be a different format, logos and faces will be different sizes etc. It will confuse the hell out of users if they are constantly being presented with multiple options and have to choose the right ones and it will stress the hell out of moderators who constantly have to deal with their support requests and it will piss off creators if they're being asked to create everything twice in two different formats. Essentially I think trying to do that could wreck sortitoutsi completely.

So it's better separate and they are separate.

The lines between the two are blurry now because (1) Both sites are still on FM24 rather than one being FM24 and another being FM25. SI kind of threw me a last minute curveball there I wasn't prepared for and (2) the logins and payments are integrated, simply because I was excited to get it out asap and not spend months passing security tests on a new domain which isn't fun.

Come March/April the separation will be obvious and you can choose to stick to the old generation or continue with the new generation of FM. In my mind long term they will wind up being completely separate communities with different players and creators. Just like the old CM community is totally separate from the newer FM community now. At least that's the vision.

I get why you wanted to keep it separate, I don't get why you feel the need to make the latest data update for the current game, an additional cost.

I paid for a premium membership for two reasons:

  1. The wonderful updates the SUSIE team have created over the past 20 years or so
  2. The discounted purchase of the full game

As neither of those are fully available right now, there seems no point continuing to pay

Do you even have permission from SI to charge for data updates, not sure this isn't a breach of their commerical rights
