I've had the same realisation haha, I joined a gym off campus so have to cycle there. In the past 3 days I reckon I've done about 20 miles total on my bike and my god its been a struggle. I'm coming in from town and stuff covered in sweat (it's like 2.5 miles!), and my legs and especially my arse are in agony.

I think I'll just stick with it and hope my arse gets used to it, it never used to be this bad.

Started going to the gym since I started Uni. My general fitness is poor so I'm working on cardio before I attempt to bulk up my skinny self. Safe to say I walked home looking like a disabled cowboy an hour ago.

I used to be incredibly unfit, but ever since I got my racing bike its just totally changed me. Legs are after getting way bigger, nowhere near as pale as I was before, and I'm much more healthier and I haven't been sick in ages whereas before I was sick quite frequently. I try do about 200km a week, on top of my insanity workout. Really focusing on my core, and the results I've seen already are brilliant. For example, I did a 70km cycle on Sunday at nearly 30kph (Albeit I was riding in a group) and this evening I did nearly 60km at just over 28kph on my own, which I'm obviously delighted with. Still a lot more improvement needed, but I'm getting there. Slowly but surely!!

I've gotten into the habit of going out on the bike 3-4 times a week and am enjoying it so far. The most I've managed is 16.8m on my dad's old mountain bike but I'm planning on moving up onto a road bike soon. Started playing fives every Tuesday as well, managed to bag myself four this week.

Hit a PR squat of 160kg at an internal gym meet last Saturday.

Jumping off a strength program for a while now though and going to run with P/P/L for a while.

I really need to start lifting.

Helped my dad throw out some bags with rubbish at the dump earlier today, the pain in my arms now is absolutely unbearable.

Recently did a sportive cycle from Dublin to Ventry in Kerry (Like 5 min drive from where I live) for charity. Just over 400km in 3 days. Brilliant couple of days! When we warn't on the bike we were having beers, so it was more like a piss up than anything else ha. Had a weeks rest from the bike but dying to get back into action again!

Yeah? I'm in college in Galway so that would be very handy. What's the name of the pub?

Is that the London to Paris ride in July? I've seen an ad or something for it, soooo tempted to do it but I'll more than likely be working!! Really want to start racing after the Winter as well, do you know anything about interval training? Seems to be the new method of bike training these days.

Bumped into an old mate of mine in the gym. Hes 3 years younger than me and is now incredibly buff. Conversation soon turned to how good he was looking and admitted that steroids was the reason.

Mixed feelings.

Not really done any exercise and have just drank, smoked and eaten shite since a leg break a few years back, I've decided to finally do something about it. Started Insanity today, knackered now.

Describes my three years at university (minus the leg break). Suffering for it now.

How do you physically not do exercise for coming on 3 years?

I feel disgusting going a week without doing something. End up in a really fowl mood too.

Not judging or anything, just don't understand.

Yeah, going to the gym isn't for everyone, but thats not what I meant.

Surely you have the urge now and again to move around and get your heart pumping, whether thats playing football going for a jog or lifting some weights.

The endorphins afterwards don't hurt, either.

Didn't do too badly in the fitness test, beat both the people on the first one, and wasn't far off on a couple more.

The one plus I took is that I've barely put on any fat while not doing exercise. My stamina is rubbish atm though.

No its just laziness. If you think its boring it might help if you played loud music, that's what I used to do. But with these Insanity workouts Shaun T motivates you and others are doing it too so that makes it a lot easier. Plus I feel so much better since I started doing all this exercise. I'll have my bike back with me tomorrow (In college so its a pain bringing up and down every weekend) so hopefully I'll get some extra hours in. Want to start swimming as well with the aim to try do a triathlon next summer!

They appear in most videos as well if not all so that's brilliant bud. Are you going to do the full 60 days as planned out? I quickly realized I wouldn't be able to stick to the calender, so I just pick out whichever ones I want to do. Done a good few of the max videos recently, and I like the Insanse Abs vid and pure cardio too. I've his new training videos as well, the t25's. They're workouts that last just 25 min but no breaks. Equally as effective!
