I seem to remember a similar file available for an older FM, but is there a file that would give all teams their long names (Wolves - Wolverhampton Wanderers etc)? A search only brings up the real name fix and it would take a lot of time to go through the editor enabling “use long team names” in the editor.

This may be a stupid question, but does anyone have the new CF Montreal logos? I have only just realised that the logo is different and the actual team ID is different in-game now.

That does answer my question, thanks. I am assuming that it is something to do with my skin as the “team” logos don't show up on any page when looking at the national team.

This may be a stupid question as it may have been something that I have done accidentally, but in my logos folder, there is a folder called “team” in the “nations” folder. There are 253 items in there and they appear to be metallic, although some are different to the nation logos (England has a star instead of “the FA” for example). If this wasn't an accident on my part, what is the purpose of these logos as I haven't seen them appear in my game yet.

I also apologise if this has either been asked before or I have posted in the wrong place.

Does anyone know how this works exactly? After reading numerous threads previously, I was under the impression that and club that has this ticked in the editor would rely on developing youth players and not make signings. However, a team that I made an institute in the editor has since gone out and signed 26 players in a test save.

What exactly does “Is Institute” do?

Was that just moving the region, or did setting languages help too?

I know, when the game gives you your youth intake, there are factors that can influence the nationality of players such as staff nationalities or affiliation types.

What I would like to know is, is something like this possible in the editor. 

If a region had a strong community of a different nationality, could anything be done in the editor to replicate this? Take somewhere like Quebec, they will generate a large number of French-Canadians (French-Canadiens). Is this where the language of a region comes into play?

I'm not entirely sure if I can ask like this now or whether or not I have to just put a request in, but does anyone have anything for Toronto Blizzard? They have recently linked up with Bayern Munich and are in the database, albeit extinct, but I will be bringing them out of extinction with my expanded database and would like kits for them.

I am using a database that I have expanded. The issue is only with 8 out of the 22 leagues that I have and it will always be the same leagues, whether I test in-game or in the editor.

Does anyone know how I can stop teams randomly changing division? I have regional divisions set up and everything is fine until 2025 when, without any reason whatsoever, teams move divisions. Sometimes, they move up a level, despite there being no promotion or relegation. Other times, they can move to a league on the other side of the country (and for an amateur side playing in Canada, they will be crippled financially).

Ok, first off, I am aware that there is something in the FAQ's about bypassing the verification, but if I do that, any changes that I have made regarding colours don't show. For example, a teams home and away kits will just be black, despite the editor saying otherwise.

Anyway, I have expanded a database (Canada) to go all the way down to college leagues. All competitions have been tested in the editor for 10 years and no errors show. However, when it comes to verification, if I select “all”, verification fails on the first tier saying there is an error with a tier 6 cup competition. This happens for the top 5 tiers. If I choose to verify the tiers individually, I am able to verify tiers 5,6 and 7. Tier 8 however, gives the same error, but with a different competition (a tier 7 cup). Is there anything I can do to get this file verified properly?

I have created a cup competition in which I am required to use tie mapping. I have used tie mapping in various competitions before but, for some reason, I am having problems with this one.

In the screenshots, I have the cup tie mapping in which 2nd place in group 1 plays 2nd place in group 2 and 3rd plays 3rd. However, you can see in the second screenshot that the 3rd place team from group 2 never actually enters the playoff.

As I mentioned, I have used tie mapping before but this is the first time I have encountered this issue. It will always be with the 3rd place team in group 2, regardless of who I set their opponent as or whether they play in the first or second match.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Ok, I have a league that is split into 3 groups of 9 teams. after each group has played 8 games each, the league splits. This is where it gets complicated. Basically, the top 4 teams in each group go into a league consisting of 12 teams to determine the overall champion. The bottom 5 teams from each group go into another league that determines seeding for the cup (which I am not having).

How do I set it up so that the split happens correctly? At the moment, It will only pull 11 teams instead of 12 for the championship playoff league but, when I try and test the competition, it will pull 11 teams PLUS 4 other teams that aren't even registered for the competition. So, it is pulling teams that have qualified for the championship playoff league AND 4 other teams which is the correct number of teams for the bottom playoff league.

Having the top and bottom playoffs both set as “stage 1” (which is how they are at the moment) only shows the larger league (15 teams) under test competition but uses 11 of the 12 top playoff teams.

I apologise for how complicated this sounds.

Thanks for that mate. Solved that problem. I do have another “issue” that I couldn't see in your FAQ though. I have a league that is split into 3 groups. After the mid season break, top 4 from each group go into one league and the remaining teams go into another.

As the groups are stage 0, would I need the next stages to have the same (1) or separate index numbers (1&2)?

I am currently expanding the Canadian pyramid and I have come across an error when testing or verifying competitions that I am unsure how to rectify. The error can be seen in the below screenshot:
